Nose Re-Surgery

Has anyone’s nose actually become higher as the swelling went down?

I asked to have my nose made shorter and had surgery. They put in 1 mm silicone and used ear cartilage. Right after surgery, I mean while it was taped, my nose looked okay? It seemed like it turned out the way I wanted. But now it’s day 5, and the bridge is way too high, while the swelling at the nasal tip has gone down too quickly and it looks lower, so my nose actually looks longer lol I saw the doctor today, and he said that as the swelling goes down, the nasal tip will lift and become higher. He said the immediate post-op appearance is the final result, and that 99.9% of the result I wanted came out, the surgery went well, and he’s confident about it... He is a director with 20 years of experience. But can this really happen, logically??? When swelling goes down, things get lower if anything, so how does the nose become higher? Since taking the splint off, I’ve just been crying all day because it’s so emotionally hard.. Everyone who had a similar case to mine, please leave a comment.
