Nose Surgery Reviews

Contracture just one month after surgery, then contracture again after revision surgery...

Sigh.... 1) Surgery using only septal cartilage Right after surgery and up to one week, it looked good From the one-month mark, my columella became shorter than at first 2) At the same hospital, revision surgery was possible with only the material fee charged So 10 months after the first surgery, I had revision surgery with ear cartilage added Until the one-month follow-up, the columella was maintained well Even before going in for the 3-month follow-up, I felt that the columella had become shorter I wondered if it was just my imagination, but the hospital also said it had gotten shorter Is the skin on my nose too thick? Is my nose or my skin just not compatible with the director? I also keep thinking that if this happened the first time, maybe a slight overcorrection the second time would have helped (The director said that is not how they perform surgery...) I did so much online research and went around in person, even traveling far, trying to finish it in one surgery I never thought I would end up needing revision surgery And even after the revision, I never thought I would dislike my nose so much that I would stop taking selfies... Sigh The director and the consultant both felt really bad about it They said we could keep watching it a bit longer and do a second revision around next year Or if I want to have it done at another hospital, I should feel free to say so They said they would help as much as possible... Whew
