As you can see in the photo, my snaggletooth was pretty severe. At first, I didn’t really plan on getting orthodontic treatment, but as I took more photos, it was true that it kept bothering me! So I made up my mind lol. I got braces using inconspicuous ceramic brackets and white wire lol. Thanks to that, there were even people who didn’t know I had braces until the end lol. At first, they estimated the orthodontic period at about 2 to 2 and a half years, but my teeth moved faster than expected, so I was able to finish in 1 year and 10 months. When they first attached the appliances, it felt so awkward, but when they were actually removed, it took me a few days to adjust to that too. Right now, I have a retainer attached behind my teeth, and since it doesn’t show at all appearance-wise, I like that too. At first, the reason for orthodontic treatment was to get rid of the snaggletooth, but my mouth was also protrusive. Anyway, thanks to orthodontics, both the snaggletooth + protrusion were resolved. On the day they removed the brackets and put on the retainer, I took an X-ray and compared it with the first one, and my side profile was seriously lol so protruded that I thought, ‘Was I really like that?’ These days, I’m amazed by how I look without the snaggletooth, so I look in the mirror by myself and grin happily lol.
