Hello! While I was considering double-jaw surgery, I also got a lot of help from several communities, so I’m leaving this review in case it can be even a little helpful haha!! I had trouble chewing food because of malocclusion, and more than anything, my protruding lower jaw that stood out every time I took photos was so stressful I didn’t think orthodontic treatment alone would solve it, so I decided to get double-jaw surgery. I went to consultations at quite a few well-known hospitals in Seoul, and among them, EU Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery felt the most trustworthy!! I had my consultation with Director Shin Hee-jin at EU Oral Surgery, and she suggested only the surgeries I really needed without pushing anything excessive, and explained everything very thoroughly, so I decided to go there haha -Immediately after surgery (weeks 1-2) Nasal congestion, dry mouth, nausea, swelling, pain. It was literally a time of suffering. Even while hospitalized, I had trouble breathing and couldn’t sleep well, and it was mentally very hard too.. Fortunately, after the first week passed, the swelling and breathing started to improve little by little. -1 month Most of the discomfort disappeared, and I recovered enough to go out and do light activities without overdoing it! I still had swelling around the philtrum and a dull sensation, but it hardly interfered with daily life. -2 to 4 months The philtrum swelling and sensation almost completely came back. I was able to eat various foods, and chewing gradually became more comfortable too!! As the swelling slowly went down and I could see my facial line becoming more and more natural, I felt so proud and happy. -5 to 7 months (now) The swelling is almost completely gone, and the sensation at the tip of my chin is completely normal. I can open my mouth well like before, and I have no problems talking or eating. More than anything, as my jaw became shorter, my overall impression became much softer, and people around me tell me a lot that my face has become prettier, so my self-esteem has really gone up a lot these days Before, whenever I took photos, I always felt like something was off, but now I enjoy taking selfies haha Looking back now, the difficult time I went through truly doesn’t feel even 1% wasted. I really think double-jaw surgery was the surgery that changed my life. After the surgery, people around me also say it doesn’t look obvious, and it settled naturally, so many people don’t even know I had surgery! For those considering double-jaw surgery or facial contouring, especially those with a protruding lower jaw, asymmetry, or malocclusion, I really want to say that this can be a surgery that helps a lot!!!! Even if I had to choose again, I think I would choose EU Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery + Director Shin Hee-jin the same way. I hope this helps those who are thinking about it, even a little.
