I have a few questions,, For those who have had removal surgery and those who know about it, please answer. Please.. I'm desperateㅠㅠ~ ★ If I have removal surgery on a Monday sometime in June, would it be okay to take off what was attached to my nose that Friday? (The consultation nurse says I have to keep it on for a full week, but because of my circumstances, I think I’ll have to take it off on Friday ..;;) ★ I’ll be removing the nasal bridge silicone + nasal tip septal extension through an open approach. When removing it, will they put packing inside my nose?? Ah ...the thing I’m most scared of is putting in the packing .. It really hurts so much ..and it’s such a painful thing........will they put packing in? I hope they don’t ...ㅠㅠ ★ When a stranger sees me, how long does it take to recover to the point where it won’t be obvious I had removal surgery? By stranger = someone meeting me for the first time, family & friends I see occasionally ★ I currently have scar tissue inside my nose. Is it okay to proceed like this? I heard there are injections that dissolve scar tissue ..but they say there’s a risk that the nasal bridge could collapse.......... I would be truly grateful if you answer as much as you know~!!!!! Please, everyone....ㅠㅠ For reference, I -had surgery on the 20th of last month (one month and one week have passed) -silicone in the nasal bridge, septal extension for the nasal tip (silicone about 2 mm) -my nasal tip cartilage was weak, so they built it up with a double support strut -the columella was lengthened too -I’m trying to remove it because the implant on the nasal bridge is noticeable. -I’m trying to remove it because the nasal bridge looks shifted to the left. -the nasal tip is slightly blunt downward. It looks longㅠ -the glabella became higher, and my impression changed in an unintended direction -I’m trying to remove it because of the mental burden and fear. -The hospital where I had it done stated in the medical opinion letter that recovery would be about 80%~90%......not a high recovery rate.. -Verbally, they said the surgery was comparatively complicated, but they absolutely did not touch the nasal bones, nor the alar area, and since there were no unusual postoperative issues, it would be easy for my nose to almost return to how it used to be..... -The hospital where I had it done said they would do it for free, so I’m planning to have it removed there through an open approach.... (I also feel like things have improved quite a bit emotionally with the doctorㅠ) -I currently have secured my before-and-after photos, medical opinion letter, surgical records, and medical opinion letter. (But honestly, the medical opinion letter probably won’t be very effective, and the surgical records were extremely abbreviated too ..sob) At home, opinions are split half and half. Some say, "If you’re going to remove it, do it with the resolve that you won’t have revision surgery," while others say.. "If possible, just live with it,, your nose now doesn’t look obviously operated on and it’s decent enough I can’t really see the symptoms you’re talking about.." My dad is strongly against it, and it’s not only my dad, but since the original surgery was something I stubbornly insisted on, insisting again makes me feel self-conscious and scared too.. But the problems aren’t only visible to me; other people point them out from time to time too...so it’s not easy For now, I’ve made up my mind to remove it.. I’m preparing...but there’s a lot I need to know, a lot I need to be prepared for, and a lot I don’t knowㅠ Sigh, this post got too long.... I tried to write everything all at once If you read this far ...thank you so much~!ㅠㅠ
