I wrote reviews right after nose surgery and at 2 months, but up to then I only mentioned the nose shape after surgery. I’ve never shared how my nose shape progressed after a long time had passed or the discomfort I experienced in daily life, so this time I’m going to talk honestly. This is also related to issues with my own constitution, not a problem with the clinic or the surgery itself, so people like me who have similar respiratory conditions involving the nose, especially rhinitis, please make sure to read it! 1) From 3 months after surgery, the nose height dropped This isn’t a surgical side effect, but something everyone experiences after rhinoplasty. After getting nose surgery, once 1-2 months, or as long as 3 months, pass, the swelling goes down, so the nasal bridge looks lower than before. So if you compare photos taken during the first 1-2 months after rhinoplasty with photos afterward, it’s clear that before the swelling went down, the nasal bridge was higher and looked prettier.. I wanted a natural look, so I asked them to raise it only 3 cm, but after the swelling went down it became so~~ natural, and I missed the nasal bridge from before the swelling went down, so I’ve regretted not making it 1-2 cm higher! Still, it’s natural, so no one at all can tell I had nose surgery 2) **Most important** I developed rhinitis ㄱㄹㅂ was the only one of the 3 places I visited for nose surgery consultations that did a CT scan, which I liked! But after the CT scan, when I had the consultation with the director, the director asked me if I had rhinitis. Looking at the CT screen, they said my nasal passage? was narrow, like the structure of a rhinitis patient.. The director said that if I had rhinitis, I should have rhinitis surgery first and then do cosmetic surgery, but at the time before surgery I had absolutely no rhinitis, so I said no, and proceeded with surgery as is. Do you know what happened? I developed rhinitis After developing rhinitis, I often couldn’t sleep well at night and stayed up all night regretting, “Why did I get nose surgery?” and I got respiratory illnesses that I hadn’t gotten before incredibly often. During seasonal changes, colds were a given, I got the flu whenever it was going around, and I got COVID really often too. Have you ever seen someone infected with COVID 5 times? I really think one of the reasons I got COVID this often was nose surgery. I’m saying this sincerely. Before nose surgery, I had never gotten it and was fine, but the fact that I got infected 5 times in just 2 and a half years only after nose surgery makes me think my nose became vulnerable because of the nose surgery. After getting COVID several times, my lungs also got worse, so during a health checkup I was told my lung capacity was very poor for a nonsmoker in their 20s.. I even went to a university hospital for tests. I didn’t know the butterfly effect of nose surgery could be this big. I’m not saying not to get nose surgery... I was truly happy after getting nose surgery because my nose shape became pretty. But if there is even a slight possibility that your nasal structure is prone to rhinitis, or if you already have rhinitis, postpone nose surgery and resolve the rhinitis first. I really spent days in pain because of rhinitis, and often cried whenever my nose was blocked at night and I couldn’t sleep... If I could just have a healthy nose, I want to go back to before surgery. 3) Nevertheless Before nose surgery, I had never once been complimented on my side profile or nose, but now everyone tells me my side profile is pretty and my nose is pretty. But it’s so natural that if I don’t say anything, no one knows at all that I had surgery I’m also very satisfied when I go somewhere and take photos! I won’t say I don’t recommend nose surgery itself ~~ I’ve gathered and shared all the things I felt over about 3 years after nose surgery. Especially number 2 is something I have a lot of resentment about, so it got a bit long, but still, please don’t take it lightly. I hope no one suffers like I did. Let’s all have safe and healthy nose surgery~
