Double-Jaw Surgery Reviews

My worries about a protruding mouth are over! Two-jaw surgery by Director Kim Jong-yoon …

Since high school, I had been worried about my protruding mouth. Every time I smiled or took photos, it stressed me out, so I even had orthodontic treatment, but there wasn’t as much change as I wanted. Even at the dental clinic, they said I would need two-jaw surgery to get a definite result, so that’s when I became interested. I thought it would be better to have surgery while I was young, so I made up my mind. I went to consultations at several hospitals, but because functional aspects are also important with two-jaw surgery, I trusted an oral and maxillofacial surgery clinic more than a plastic surgery clinic. EU Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery was kind from the first consultation and explained things well, so I came to trust them. On day 1, after I woke up from anesthesia, there was something inserted in my nose, and my whole face was wrapped with a compression bandage and ice packs. The pain inside my mouth was severe, and breathing through my nose was difficult, but I was grateful because the nurses took such good care of me. From day 2, breathing gradually became easier and the pain decreased. I also had dressing done and started eating small amounts of New Care. I could feel that I was getting better day by day. From days 3 to 6, the swelling and pain gradually subsided, and my condition improved. Especially around day 6, a lot of swelling had gone down, so I felt good every time I looked in the mirror haha. I was still mainly eating porridge or New Care, but this was the period when my condition was the best after surgery. On day 7, I visited the hospital and received laser treatment and intraoral disinfection, and I was told to remove the wafer during the day and wear it only while sleeping. When I removed the wafer for the first time, the inside of my mouth felt much more comfortable, and they explained intraoral care well, which helped a lot. The swelling was also continuing to go down. In week 2, I had the stitches inside my mouth removed. Honestly, there were many reviews saying it didn’t hurt, so I thought it wouldn’t hurt either, but it did hurt a bit haha. Still, I was so happy afterward because I could brush my teeth. I still can’t eat foods that require chewing, but I’m getting by well with porridge and drinks, and I lost a little weight too. At 1 month, I went to the hospital for a follow-up and took photos. The doctor said there was still swelling in my face, but it would continue to go down. Comparing it with my preoperative photos, my mouth had definitely moved inward, so I felt very satisfied. Right after two-jaw surgery, there were uncomfortable and painful parts, but as time goes by and I can see the changes, I really feel it was the right choice. There is still swelling, but it’s gradually improving, and above all, I’m happy because I’ve gained confidence when smiling or taking photos haha. I hope this helps those who are considering two-jaw surgery. I’m really satisfied with my results so far.
