I've heard that about entropion too, but the refusal is really too much, seriously I'm just plucking the front eyebrow hairs and going through hell

How much scarring do you have left? I went to a plastic surgery clinic because of the scar, but I ended up with a scar and no improvement..

[@ㅇ0] Sorry for replying now because of the platform IP block error. The scar is a little left on the left side, and almost none on the right. I think that’s because the right side was undercorrected from the start. So the eyelashes on the right keep stabbing me really badly I’m worried because they say the scar will get worse if I have revision surgery. You must be under a lot of stress because of the scar too.

I’m in the case where my kid has entropion, so I looked into surgery.. I did hear that it can recur That’s why there are also clinics that do it together with a lateral canthoplasty or a medial canthoplasty.. And the corneal scratches were probably from all the damage that had been accumulating because of the entropion over time? My kid’s scratches are no joke But in some clinics they say it can cause astigmatism, and in others they say it doesn’t have much to do with vision, so since it doesn’t seem like a major inconvenience, we’re just watching for now

[@솨양] It probably wasn’t all accumulated until now. I had the surgery in November 2024, so the old wounds should already have healed, and the eye doctor asked whether the eyelashes are touching the cornea right now. That’s why I got so angry. I recommend having your child do it. My entropion is only mild, but even while preparing for the CSAT, my eyes stung and hurt so much that it was hard. I went to an eye clinic, got diagnosed, and was going to have surgery, but I thought plastic surgery would turn out prettier, so after the CSAT I just had it done at a plastic surgery clinic, and it was barely corrected. If your child ends up getting it done, please consider doing it at an eye clinic too. I also went to several eye clinics, and they said that if it keeps getting scratched, it’s bad for the eyes anyway. Apart from that, if scratches form because of entropion, your vision gets blurry and it hurts

There are so many places where their attitude is different before the consultation and after the procedure.

My older sister had the same issue, so she had it redone at a university hospital, but she says she’s stressed because of the scar.

I also developed entropion after having the lower-eye-area muscle fixation for under-eye fat repositioning. I also got a muscle problem on one side where that eye wouldn’t open properly. At first I thought maybe that was normal, but even after 2 or 3 years I still couldn’t make a smiling expression, and one side was slightly turned inward. The doctor in charge quit the hospital. After about 5 years, I went to several places for a revision consultation. By then, after 5 years, it had improved compared with the beginning. They said that if I had surgery again, it would create scars again, the scar tissue would build up, it would shrink even more, and I’d be starting over from scratch. That was an honest hospital. They even gave me a referral letter to go to a university hospital. But stubborn me, I had it done 2 years ago at a hospital that said they could do it. I really went back to the state I was in 5 years ago, when my eye under-area wouldn’t move. It doesn’t move, and it got even worse.

[@Angimuti] When I spoke with the doctor, they did not say that my surgery itself had been done wrong. They said the recurrence rate is originally low, and that in their hospital only one person had a revision surgery. That patient apparently had such severe entropion from the start that they intentionally split it into two surgeries. So the conclusion is that they were saying I’m the only person among the patients who had surgery at this hospital whose condition recurred.

Seriously? They charged 5,000 won just for a consultation there, saying it counted as entropion "treatment." The manager handled all the consultation work a doctor should have done, and they were doing every kind of surgery under the sun, so I avoided them completely..
