I’m considering revision surgery and want to raise the line. The reason is that my current eye crease line is somewhat low, and I wanted a dramatic in-out line, but maybe because the upper epicanthoplasty wasn’t done properly, it somehow feels like an inline crease.. I wanted the double eyelid to continue from the inner corner of my eyes.. Oh, and I had incisional double eyelid surgery + medial epicanthoplasty + upper epicanthoplasty + ptosis correction, but I don’t think my Mongolian folds were that severe before, yet after the medial epicanthoplasty, the Mongolian folds actually got worse.. I don’t think the upper epicanthoplasty was done properly either.. How does it look to you?? Personally, I think I looked prettier when I still had swelling and the line was a bit higher, and I feel like there are too many parts that weren’t improved compared with my original eyes in the previous surgery. Right now I’m considering revision medial epicanthoplasty + raising the double-eyelid line + non-incisional lateral and lower canthoplasty. But a lot of people around me are trying to talk me out of it, so I’m torn Would you get revision surgery if you were me? + In the comments, a lot of people seem to be saying it actually looks sausage-like, and I wonder if that’s because I uploaded a photo from when I was really swollen.. So I attached two more photos taken in the evening No. 1 is before double eyelid surgery, No. 2 is after double eyelid surgery when my eyes were swollen in the morning, and Nos. 3 and 4 are my usual eyes after some swelling went down As you can tell from the 4th photo, sometimes it looks like the area above my eyes is sagging, should I say? Do you see the bulging above the eye in the 4th photo?? I don’t know if I have a lot of flesh around my eyes or what, but the area above the eyes is protruding, and it feels like that is eating into the double-eyelid line, so I considered revision surgery.. Could that be because of eye-area flesh??
익명 Is 1 now?
최강미인1004 [@] Yeah, the first photo is now!
익명 [@] That’s not a good idea... Even now it’s already high and dramatic enough. I thought your current eyes were the eyes you mentioned in the post from when you had some swelling. If you raise it even 0.1 mm from here, I think it’ll become an unsalvageable sausage eye... Why do you want to raise it? If you really want to do something, only do lateral and lower canthoplasty. I don’t think you should open the inner corners more either.
익명 [@] Looking at photos 3 and 4, your eyes are even less suited to a higher line. Even with the line at the current height, the skin above is sagging...
최강미인1004 [@] The after photo was taken in the morning when my eyes were a bit swollen, so I reattached photos Please look at photos 3 and 4 one more time.. Oh wow, and the skin sagging you mentioned?? Actually, because of that, my eyes look more stuffy, and as the sagging skin eats into the line, my eyes feel like they look smaller, so that’s why I was going to get revision surgery. Do you know why that happens?? I wanted to cut out all the sagging parts during the revision.
익명 [@] I think the distance between your eye and brow bone is narrow. A large line was made in a narrow space, so the flesh on the upper eyelid bunches up and looks swollen like that. It’s not an eye-fat issue, so fat can’t really be removed, and if you excise skin, you can develop lagophthalmos and the upper-eyelid distance will become even narrower. When I was younger, I also blindly thought a high double eyelid looked pretty and admired it, thinking everything up to that crease was part of my eye, but it’s absolutely not. If the line is high, the eyes actually look smaller. There’s a height that suits your own eyes. If you end up with sausage eyes and have to go as far as double-line correction and excision, that’s really major work...
최강미인1004 *Deleted by the poster.
최강미인1004 [@] Then if the distance between my eyes and eyebrows is far, what could be the reason for it still looking like that?? I really want to attach a photo and show you, but the distance between my eyes and eyebrows is on the wider side, you know? So I thought I could raise it a bit more, and that was also one reason I considered revision surgery.. When doing double eyelid surgery, do they usually look at the distance to the brow bone to decide the maximum line??.. Oh, and if excising eye-area flesh could narrow the distance around the eyes, I actually think I’d be okay with that.. Right now the eye-eyebrow distance is somewhat far, so if it gets narrower, I think it might be fine.. Then would it be better to just excise it.. I’m curious about too many things, so this is all over the place ㅠㅓ Sorry
익명 [@] It’s not the eyebrow, but the distance to the brow bone that matters. Speaking based on photos 3 and 4, the back part of your double eyelid looks a bit high beyond just looking open and clear, you know? So I think it would be good either to lower the back part or do an upper epicanthoplasty to increase the visible range of the line a bit. Avoid excision if at all possible...
최강미인1004 [@] Is the reason you’re advising against excision because of scarring?? You seem to know a lot about eye surgery and explain things so well, so I keep bothering you with questions.. Sorry. It would be understandable if you found it annoying, but thank you for answering so thoughtfully. I’ve never met anyone with eyes similar to mine, so I never had a sense of what the problem was. Thanks to you, I’m learning a lot Thank you
인생바 How long has it been since the incision surgery?
최강미인1004 [@인생바] It seems like about a year. Since the attached photo was taken in the morning when it was a bit swollen, I reattached the photos Please look at it again just once.. I really hate the puffy? feeling above my eyes.
인생바 [@TopBeauty1004] To my eyes, it looks a bit sausage-like.. If that’s not an issue with how your eyes look, then if it was an incision surgery, you should really think carefully about revision
왕코싫어 Don’t raise it, just improve the line ㄱㄱ
익명 [@왕코싫어] Improve it
리저베릐 Different point, but I really don’t recommend non-incisional canthoplasty. It’s such a waste of money. Just do the incisional one.
최강미인1004 [@리저베릐] Oh wow, can I ask why?? My eye space is really limited and my eyes are hard to widen, so for the first surgery I was thinking of trying a conservative approach, which is why I looked into the non-incisional option
마토맘 I think it would still look pretty
qmffnqpfl5… Not recommended
흠냐륍 I really don't think you should widen the front any more.. the inner eye corner is already showing
최강미인1004 [@흠냐륍] The after photo was taken in the morning, so it was when my eyes were a bit swollen, so I reattached the photos Please look at them again once.. My eyes are so small that I thought I’d just widen everything, even if it meant showing the inner eye corner.. Compared to my face, my eyes and nose are too small, so I was going to redo the front canthoplasty and try to improve the epicanthal fold again, but maybe that’s too much If you only look at the eyes, the front canthoplasty might seem too strong, but my face is pretty wide, so overall it doesn’t look unnatural even if I widen them a bit more..
냔니냔냔 1 is the current one..? I thought 1 was when there was swelling and 2 was the current one. If you make it any higher from the current state, it’ll just become a sausage.. honestly, it already looks a bit like that.... If photo 1 is the current state, the line is already high compared with your eyes With the line that high, the eyes actually look smaller... If you make the front even wider, it’ll look cross-eyed, and if you do anything, only the back/bottom is the right choice.
냔니냔냔 [@냔니냔냔] Hey, I looked at your other posts too.. and to be frank, if you have surgery in your current state, you won’t become prettier. Just from wanting to raise the line in your current state, it feels like your aesthetic sense is already pretty off, and it also seems like you’re not being objective about yourself. I don’t know your exact ideal look, but from a third person’s point of view, your body is already a pretty body that could be someone’s ideal, and your eyes seem like a case where you should actually lower the crease. If you keep pursuing surgery in this state, you really won’t get prettier, and there’s a high chance you’ll just end up looking strange.. Take medication for depression, and try going to exercise too. You said you’re also fixated on your body, so moving your body might help aesthetically too, and it might help you as well And cut off SNS and things like that... I’m worried because you’re young. At the very least, you should have surgery when you’re in a state where you can objectively see yourself and distinguish what can and can’t be covered with cosmetic surgery. If you just keep getting surgery blindly, you’ll just end up with obvious surgery vibes and an overdone face that isn’t pretty..
최강미인1004 [@냔니냔냔] I also feel like my aesthetic sense has gotten messed up these days.. but my face area is so wide that I keep thinking I need to somehow make my eyes and nose bigger to fill it out.. so I think I’m getting greedy.. because my face is wide, even if I make the inner corners even wider, it still doesn’t feel awkward as much as I expected.. and I reattached the after photo because it was taken in the morning when I was a bit swollen, so please look at photos 3 and 4 again.. doesn’t it feel like the area above the eyes is bulging and eating into the line?? The line is low too.. honestly, I feel like my sense of aesthetics has really dropped, so I’m so, so grateful to someone like you for giving advice.. I know it’s annoying, but could you look at the reattached photos one more time??
냔니냔냔 [@topbeauty1004] I saw all the photos! My eyes are kind of similar to yours, so I’m sharing my own experience with surgery, but eyes like yours absolutely should not have a high line~~ The reason the area above the eyes looks bulged and eats into the line is because the line is higher than the current eye, and also because your eye-opening strength can’t support the double eyelid line properly, so that’s why. Keep the front part a bit smoother when shaping the line (more in), and lower the overall height while also lowering the back part. Eyes like yours will actually look smaller if the double eyelid line in the back part is set too high!! And I’ve had nose surgery three times too, but even if you make the nose higher (bigger), the face area doesn’t look smaller The proportions have to match; if you build it too high, it just becomes a Pinocchio artificial nose The reason I’m discouraging inner canthoplasty is because your eye’s medial canthal angle is quite large, so even a small opening will make the medial canthal exposure greater than other people’s!
josepin If the first one is what you have now, I wouldn’t recommend raising the crease.
최강미인1004 [@josepin] The after photo was taken in the morning, so it was a photo with my eyes a bit swollen, so I reattached the photos Please take another look at photos 3 and 4.. what do you think??
Lalaby Oh wow... that's too much. It seems like you’re not seeing yourself objectively right now. If you touch the inner corner any more, your eyes could end up too close together. It might give that comedian-with-eyes-too-close-together vibe. The visible sclera at the inner corner is something everyone with a naturally wide inner corner has, so you don’t need to obsess over it too much. If you really want to improve something, maybe just the line a bit. There’s really no upside to touching the inner corner.
최강미인1004 [@Lalaby] The after photo was taken in the morning when my eyes were a bit swollen, so I reuploaded the photos Please look at photos 3 and 4 again.. My face has a wide area, so even if the inner corner is visible, I think it looks prettier with the front canthoplasty pulled a bit more, so I was going to do it one more time.. I always pull on the front canthoplasty with my hand and check it.. My eyes are so tiny that even if it’s too much, I think it’s better to open them all the way.. While I’m at it, I’d redo the Mongolian fold correction too.. Even though the inner corner is visible like that, in real life I don’t look even a little bit cross-eyed If anything, because of the wide face area, I feel like I need to open them more.
Lalaby [@TopBeauty1004] Get a grip. Hit yourself on the head a little harder if you have to. Bigger eyes do not automatically mean prettier, you know? The inner corner is going to stick right onto the tip of your nose. Cutting it does not make it prettier at all. Not at all, not at all, not at all. Plastic surgery does not turn you into a celebrity. Cutting, enlarging, and raising it does not automatically make it prettier. Your eyes right now are not the kind that get prettier just by cutting them. You just want to cut the whole eye apart and make ghost eyes...??? If you want to know what happens when you keep hacking away with a knife, stare at Park Bom's photos close-up for 30 minutes and come back!
최강미인1004 [@Lalaby] But this is true... Maybe I’ve been losing it lately. I’m really good at self-objectivity, so I know very well that even if I get everything ripped apart and cut open, it doesn’t mean I’ll become prettier, but when I get like this and my mental state goes bad, objectivity disappears and I stop caring about the consequences.. But I really don’t have any charm either, so what am I supposed to do? Seriously, living with this face feels worse than becoming overdone-looking, and stuff like that keeps going through my head Either way, for my own sake.. thanks for the long advice.
익명 You’re on 1 right now, and you want to make it even higher from there? Um...........
귤이좋아 I don’t think I would do it, but I would consider the lower outer canthoplasty.
하 You mean 1 is the current one? I thought 1 was the swollen one and 2 was the current one... 1 already looks like an eye with swelling though. It seems like what you want is a clear in-out line that shows from the front, but with your eye structure, the front part of the line just doesn’t seem to show... Don’t make it higher and regret it; stop here! If you raise it just a little more from there, it won’t look prettier, it’ll just look like obvious double-eyelid surgery and sausage eyes
하 I think it would look prettier if you lowered it a little instead
최강미인1004 I reattached the after photo because it was taken in the morning and my eyes were a bit swollen Please look at photos 3 and 4 again.. somehow the area above my eyes looks puffy and like it is eating into the line, right??
하 [@] Still no no, it’s pretty now, but it feels a little like it’s loosened?? Why is that? The line is still puffy!
최강미인1004 [@] Seriously, agreed.. it looks like it loosened, but I don’t know why… There’s no swelling at all anymore, but the line is still puffy
하 [@HighestBeauty1004] It might be because it’s slightly too high... For now, don’t touch the eyes any more. My line is similar to yours or a little lower, but if you do makeup, apply lashes + mascara extension + under-mascara, it really looks much more glamorous and brighter. My eyes and nose are tiny, but I get compliments like that a lot. No more surgeryyyyy
맘아픈돈신 If it were me, I wouldn’t do it because your current eyes are pretty.
최강미인1004 [@HeartbrokenMoney] I really don’t like my own eyes so much that I want to rip them out I reattached the after photo from when my eyes were swollen, so please take another look one more time..
키티도리 If you lower the outer corner by doing a lower back canthoplasty, I think it would look pretty
tmxkf Right from the start, this eye can't do a glamorous in-out crease,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, the eyes themselves are small too
최강미인1004 [@] Yeah... honestly, I know that too.. But I keep looking for a way because I don't want to compromise with reality I'm just an ugly face, and even surgery doesn't give me the benefit of at least being able to say I got a good result, so it's miserable
