My review of my first-ever buried-suture eye surgery + ptosis correction! My original eyes were uneven eyes + severe adhesion in the right eye’s eye hollow + multiple creases. I went to consultations at several places, and they all said I would need an incisional approach to release the adhesion in order to make the double eyelids fully symmetrical without loosening and to have surgery without issues from the multiple creases. The last consultation was at the place where I had surgery, and they said that while it’s true an incision would solve the issues mentioned, it might make my impression stronger and not suit the image I currently have. The doctor’s consultation felt the most sincere and thoughtful, and they even considered the image I already had, so I did it here. I’m satisfied with the result lol. Because I didn’t release the preexisting adhesion on the right side, it’s not perfectly symmetrical, but since I knew that, it’s disappointing but I have no complaints. (To fix that, it would be a major job involving incision + fat grafting above the eye, so I can’t bring myself to do it.) People around me say it’s the most natural they’ve seen lol. It’s really natural, and even when I close my eyes it doesn’t show much. Other clinics said that if I didn’t do an incision, the multiple-crease issue would absolutely not be fixed, and that I definitely had to do an incision or the double eyelid would definitely loosen, but it seems to have settled better than expected lol. I think I did well to go to consultations at several places. Later, when I’m older and get lower eyelid fat repositioning, I plan to address it together then, and until then I’ll just roughly cover it with makeup and live with it! The consultant was very kind, and the doctor also gave a thorough consultation, so I really liked that this was a clinic where I didn’t feel rushed during the consultation!
