Ha. It hurts so much. Up through my second surgery, I had sedation anesthesia. They did sedation plus local anesthesia, woke me up, and then said I’d talk with the doctor while they operated. But today I had general anesthesia. My nose has hurt so much since the recovery room. It’s insane. When I was waking up from anesthesia, while I wasn’t conscious and don’t remember anything, I must have gone crazy trying to breathe through my nose. There wasn’t much bleeding during the surgery, but they said a lot of blood suddenly came out when they were waking me up from anesthesia. Anyway, even now that I’m home, it’s still bleeding... What is this pain? Usually after nose surgery, breathing is painful and only my throat hurts, but this is the first time my nose itself has felt this painful...
yuioph It was my first surgery, but I also had autologous costal cartilage harvested and did it under general anesthesia. Wow, my nose really hurt. It seriously hurt so much. My head hurt too because of the nasal packing You did well.

달방이 [@찌미미] Yeah, it hurts more than doing it under sedation, and recovery is definitely slower too. The area where they harvested the autologous costal cartilage hurts, and maybe I clenched too hard, but my jaw? hurts, so I can’t eat hard foods. But as 24 hours pass, the pain and recovery really do seem to be starting to improve a bit.
향긋한이불 If it was general anesthesia, did you have autologous costal cartilage harvested? I heard that if you harvest autologous costal cartilage, the rib area hurts way more than the nose
달방이 [@향긋한이불] For me, I think it hurts about the same as my nose. They say it gets better if you just endure 3 days, so I’m waiting! You know how it hurts when you move if your muscles are badly knotted up. It feels like that!
