I’m thinking about a third revision surgery, and I’m really torn between autologous rib cartilage and donor rib cartilage.. If I choose autologous rib cartilage, I think I’ll be more conscious about the scar, but at the hospital I’m considering for surgery, the doctor recommended autologous because I had an inflammatory reaction before. Will the inflammatory response differ a lot??

joghyg If there was an inflammatory reaction, go with autologous rib cartilage... Also these days the scars can be made short and light. Last year, when I had a revision at Jungwon, the doctor recommended autologous rather than donor rib cartilage, so I did that. In terms of length it was under 3 cm, and because my skin tone is slightly darker, it doesn’t show much.
