It’s been 1 month since my post-hump nose surgery..! A slightly severe hump was one of my complexes, and my nose was a bit low with a slightly upturned nose, so I decided to go ahead with surgery. I had consultations at several places, and for the last one I went to Obli Plastic Surgery. Just as I’d heard, Director Kim Dalm was so meticulous and kind. During the consultation, I became convinced that I could trust him with my nose, so I even went ahead and booked the surgery that same day!
After surgery, the period up until removing the packing was really the hardest part... More than the pain itself, it was hard having to sleep sitting up and having to breathe only through my mouth. After that, until the day the splint came off at 1 week, it was mostly okay except for not being able to wash properly and the tape feeling itchy? My ears don’t hurt if I leave them alone, but if I touch them they do hurt a bit. Even now, one month later, if I move my ears a lot, they still hurt Other than that, once the splint came off, normal daily life was completely possible!
At 1-2 weeks, honestly the swelling was still very severe, and my nose looked really puffy, so I kept thinking... was it really done well...? But by week 3-4, the big swelling had mostly gone down, and my nose looked like the shape I wanted, so I kept staring at myself in the mirror? And from that point on, I started making plans with friends too, and every friend I met said it came out so naturally and well, so I felt like I really made the right decision to have the surgery
They say the swelling will keep going down from here, and I’m looking forward to it because I think my nose will look even prettier once it fully settles!
