I'm 3 years post-op. I had silicone + ear cartilage, and I'm planning to remove only the silicone. I didn't have inflammation, and the doctor also said contracture probably wouldn't occur, but I can't trust what doctors say..;; I thought people who develop contracture after removal got it because of inflammation, but I guess that's not always the case? These days there seem to be many people who developed contracture after removal If I remove only the silicone and there was no inflammation, could contracture still occur? Is there anyone who had no inflammation but developed contracture? I'm thinking of about 5 days for the recovery period.
