(I’m doing fine, but I’m looking into facial contouring, so I’m writing this to get points. I’m not a broker) For my first surgery, I just went along with a friend, didn’t look into anything, got swayed by the consultant’s words, and had it done at a factory-style plastic surgery clinic (Namu). At first it was okay, but after about 1-2 years, the bridge of my nose became thick like an Avatar nose, and the pinched-nose look got severe. (Later, when I was looking into revision surgery, I found out that the damn director had shaved my hump nose down too aggressively, creating a hole in the bone, which led to inflammation -> contracture.) From then on, I started going around to consultations. Even up to that point, I had no idea I had contracture;; I even thought a contracted nose had to be extremely short and curled upward like an upturned nose, like the ones that come up when you search it. At Sejin and Yejin, they didn’t identify the contracture and just said something like I only needed to lower the silicone height. (Maybe it was because they didn’t take a CT scan, I don’t remember.) Then I went to Mint, and the director immediately recognized that it was early-stage contracture. That was when I realized how serious the situation was. Still, he said I could just switch to a different silicone implant, but I said I was scared of silicone now, so although he didn’t seem completely keen on it, he said MegaDerm could be used. I don’t remember the consultation details clearly, but the director also felt like an artist(?), and the before-and-after photos looked natural and I really liked them, so it became my top choice in my mind. Lastly, I went to the 431 clinic that my friend recommended. But the doctor said the inside of my nose was full of inflammation, that it was a serious situation, that the silicone and capsule had to be removed and it had to be done with autologous dermis, and that donated dermis MegaDerm was absolutely not okay either.. He said it absolutely had to be done by harvesting autologous dermis from my buttocks.. I wasn’t keen on autologous dermis, but I was so scared that I paid a deposit. I really wanted to cry, because the surgery had to be done for treatment purposes rather than cosmetic improvement. After that, it was time for me to search alone. I think I lived just searching 24 hours a day like I was mentally spiraling People said autologous dermis has too high of an absorption rate... And since many people also have surgery with donated dermis, MegaDerm, etc., and people said the absorption rate is lower than autologous dermis, I decided to do it at MT, where they recognized the contracted nose right away and suggested donated dermis as an alternative. The cost made me go, oh my goodness, but still, I had a feeling they would do a good job. The surgery review will be in the next part..
