Nose Surgery Reviews@rhino-review

Day 5 after removal

Last Saturday I finally had all the silicone and ear cartilage removed. About 10 years ago, after open rhinoplasty with L-shaped silicone and ear cartilage, I had an infection, so I reopened it once for treatment. After that, silicone protruded inside my nose, so I had a non-open procedure to cut out the protruding silicone. This time, the silicone was starting to protrude again through the columella, so I had a complete removal through open surgery. L-shaped silicone has a lot of problems, but 10 years ago the real problem was that I had the surgery without checking things properly and without any information. The hospital that did my previous surgery did the procedure to cut out the infected and protruding silicone for free, but I no longer trusted them, so I had it completely removed somewhere else. I spent years satisfied with how my nose looked after surgery, but whenever a problem came up I’d get anxious, lose sleep for days, and worry. Now that I’ve had it completely removed, I feel so relieved. Today I’m going to the hospital to remove the tape and get the stitches out. I still haven’t had the tape removed, so I can’t say much, but since I had silicone and cartilage that were 10 years old removed, I’m not sure how it will turn out...^^ From now on, instead of worrying about contracture and scar tissue, I just feel relieved that it’s been removed, so my mind is very at ease right now. For several days before the removal surgery, I think I read every removal post in the community.ㅋㅋ I was so nervous and worried going to the hospital on Saturday, but it was under sedation anesthesia so it wasn’t difficult at all. After the surgery, only the glabella and under-eye area without tape were a little swollen on the day of surgery and the next day, and now most of the swelling has gone down. My nose still doesn’t look dramatically different, maybe because of the swelling, so for now I’m relieved.
