A detailed review of my revision rhinoplasty with autologous dermis because of silicone 4 years ago…

Mine was a revision surgery. I had silicone inserted 4 years ago, but no matter how much time passed, the swelling wouldn’t go down. I had an Avatar-like nose the whole 4 years,, So a few months later, I went to the hospital where I had the surgery done (a certain hospital in Gangnam), and they just said it was because my original nose was thick. I just thought maybe that was the case and lived like that for 4 years, but gradually I felt like my nose was becoming blunter, and it also seemed to be getting bigger. Before it got any later, I decided I needed revision surgery and started researching. Friends who know a lot about cosmetic surgery told me there was something called autologous dermis, and since it’s your own skin, there are no side effects, they said. Since I had lived 4 years with my nose gone wrong, I didn’t want to put in an artificial implant anymore. After asking around, I found a hospital famous for dermal surgery. To be honest, I had only heard about it from friends and it was my first time hearing of autologous dermis, so I did feel anxious, but the director and consultant explained it kindly, so I felt reassured. They didn’t persuade me only with all the good points, but honestly told me the downsides too (that it can’t be raised too high, that it may look less sharp, that the buttock may hurt, etc. lol), so I trusted them. More than anything, I decided to have the surgery because even if inflammation occurs, it can be treated right away, and since it is my own body tissue, there is less concern about side effects. The surgery felt longer than I expected. They said that when they opened my nose, there was something like pus collected because of inflammation. So they said it was a more difficult surgery than expected. For 4 years, I didn’t even know it was inflammation and just thought maybe my nose was originally wide and big, so I really was slow to notice. Anyway, after the surgery ended, I touched my nose, and the part that had been blunt had become so thin that it didn’t feel like my own nose. haha Since it was surgery on a nose with inflammation, the doctor must have had a really hard time.. I’m so grateful. From the day after surgery, I went to the hospital almost every day to get dressings and injections. They took solid care of the aftercare too. The certain hospital in Gangnam where I had my first surgery, did I go there two or three times after surgery? It was always overflowing with people, so I never felt like they were paying attention to me. So even when I complained that my nose was too big, they would say, your nose was originally big.. -.- without even knowing it was inflammation I only saw the doctor who operated on me once after the surgery. Still, I saw a lot of people always sitting and waiting, and comforted myself by thinking, as expected, it’s a famous hospital.. like a fool lol As you can see in the photos, the area between my eyebrows is still very high, and the nasal tip is still blunt, but now as it gradually gets absorbed, the glabella will lower and the nasal tip will become sharper too. Since my nose was so high before the revision surgery, I hope it absorbs quickly and lowers to some extent
