I previously posted in a “How would it look if I fixed it?” section of a community, and I was so grateful that many people gave me information and materials^^ The photo above is one taken at the hospital on the day of surgery because I wanted to keep a record of my final face The second photo is from right the day after surgery haha. Even though I was out of it, I guess I still had the presence of mind to make that V sign with my fingersㅡ_-;; A lot of people are getting two-jaw surgery these days, and I’m leaving this surgery review hoping it will help people who, like me, did not have much information. It hasn’t been long since I had surgery yet, but if anyone is considering surgery, I hope this can be a reference.^^ When I was in school, I hit my jaw badly on a dumbbell and was in and out of the hospital for a while. After that, over the course of several years, the right and left sides of my face became very different, and facial asymmetry developed. So when taking photos I always only took them from the left side, and sometimes my jaw would hurt and the pain would go up to my head, so my stress kept getting worse. After a long period of worrying, I decided on two-jaw surgery as an asymmetry surgery, and because it is a difficult surgery, I was told to choose the hospital carefully, so I really spent a long time looking up a lot of information and visiting many hospitals. While looking around here and there, someone I know introduced me to a hospital in Apgujeong, and I went for a consultation with a friend. What I liked when I went to the hospital was that the staff were kind, and most of all, the director looked at my jaw and explained clearly and in a way I could understand what surgery would be right for me, so I liked that. On top of that, because I didn’t know much about two-jaw surgery, I asked a lot of detailed questions, and I liked how they explained everything diligently without showing any displeasure. So finally, I decided!! I booked the surgery and had various tests done^^ After various tests, I finally set the surgery date for November 24. Finally, the day of surgery!! I arrived at the hospital at 2 and was waiting in the waiting room, and I was really nervous. Even though I had come with a firm decision, I don’t know why I was so tense;; I consulted once more with the director who would perform the surgery, and entered the operating room around early evening. Once I entered the operating room, I got even more nervous, felt a little cold, and I don’t think I was in my right mind. The nurse said, “You may feel a little dizzy,” and when I woke up, I was in the recovery room. When I woke up in the recovery room, more than pain, my nose and throat were swollen, so breathing was uncomfortable. My bronchial area is not very good, so I think it was harder because of my tonsils and rhinitis. In the recovery room, the nurse put on a respirator(?) so I could breathe a little more comfortably, and she came and went all night, taking care of me so I would be as comfortable as possible, so it made things a bit less hard. She must have had a hard time because of me. ^^;;; D+1,+2 Maybe because the doctor did the surgery well, unlike what I had heard, I barely had any bruising and was told I was not very swollen. I also looked in the mirror in the morning and it was better than I had thought, so I felt a bit dazed. Friends who came to visit me were surprised, saying they couldn’t tell whether I was someone who had just had surgery or someone already in the recovery period. What was uncomfortable was that breathing was hard because of rhinitis, but when I stood up and moved around, it seemed to get a little better. Still, breathing is uncomfortable. Rather than right after surgery, my cheeks swelled up more on day 2. My friends said they couldn’t really tell, but because the band area was swollen, it hurt a little for me. Listening to people who had surgery, they say days 2 to 3 are when swelling is the worst, and I think that’s true. That day, they removed the blood drains I had on both sides. In reviews by people who had surgery, they said they felt relieved after the drains were removed, but maybe I’m insensitive; I didn’t feel much. The nurse said, “You’re all done. I’ll just disinfect a little,” so I thought, oh, they removed them. They said I could be discharged, so I came home with my friend. I’m still a bit bewildered, but thinking about how I’ll change made me feel good for no reason. ^^ If I have time later, I’ll upload later photos too~^^ Everyone here, thank you for helping me so much back then^^
