Originally, I was looking into getting nose surgery, but my eyes kept bothering me… 8 years ago, I had epicanthoplasty + ptosis correction + partial-incision double-eyelid surgery done outside Seoul, and at the time it looked natural and I really liked it, you know? But as time went on, the double-eyelid line got thinner, then completely loosened and became an inner double eyelid, and even when I got an eyelash perm, my lashes kept getting pressed down by my eyelids, and my makeup kept moving farther away from the look I wanted, so I thought I should get double-eyelid surgeryㅠㅠ People say you’re supposed to visit lots of hospitals for consultations! So even though I’m from outside Seoul, I had plans anyway, so I booked consultations at two places on a weekday and went to the first consultation..! At first there was a bit of a wait.. but it turned out the director was really busyㅋㅋㅋㅋ It seemed like he was doing surgery and then coming out for consultations. And most importantly!! The consultant was so kind and explained things really well, and the director also explained things in a very concise way and answered my questions well, so I liked that. I said I didn’t want full incision, maybe because I’ve seen too many sausage eyes, and they said that since I had partial incision before and came in because it loosened, it’s not like the chance of it loosening again next time is low, and that I also have to consider the possibility that my eyelid skin may sag more as I get older. They told me about parts I hadn’t thought of, so I think I thought about it more deeply. Oh, and I also asked about epicanthoplasty, and they said it wasn’t to the point where I absolutely had to do more now, and that it depends on my preferred look; it’s a difference of whether the eyes become longer or not, so I could choose. Since the atmosphere wasn’t one of excessive recommendation, I trusted them more. Most of all!! I liked the line! It was a hospital I came to because I liked their designs when I was researching onlineㅋㅋㅋ So when I came to my senses, I had unknowingly put down a deposit for full-incision double-eyelid surgery + ptosis correction..?ㅋㅋㅋㅋ But I don’t regret it.. If I hadn’t, I might still not have gotten the surgery, and if I had done it wrong, the schedule might have been pushed back completely because of the school vacation period, or it might have been hard to get the date I wanted. And during the surgery, maybe because I hadn’t had any procedure at all since my surgery 8 years ago.. the atmosphere when I first went in was so scary, but the surgery team? I guess that’s what I should call them, made the process move along step by step, so I actually became a little more stable, and the person who set up the IV line was really kind, which made me feel even more reassuredㅠㅠ I’m usually the type whose veins are hard to catch, so I was worried. In the end they did it on the back of my hand, and it felt like a really thick needle, but they did it well without making it hurt. During the surgery, it really felt like.. I slept wellㅋㅋㅋ After the surgery, they took good care of me kindly in the recovery room too, and I slept again..?ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ After surgery I should have rested, but since I’m from outside Seoul and the train time was awkward, I walked around a bit, so on the first day my head throbbed and hurt a little. But I went home and slept well, so I don’t think it was enough to interfere with daily life. From the first day, the line looked symmetrically well-set, and the swelling is still going down, but the more it goes down, the more satisfied I am… During the first week after surgery, while I was at home, I wondered if I had done it for no reason.. I liked the shape and everything, but since it was my first full incision, I worried for no reason.. Before, it didn’t look like I’d had my eyes done at all, so no one knew until I told them I had eye surgery.. I think I worried in advance that it might look more obvious that I had surgeryㅋㅋㅋ But now it’s day 21, and looking at how the swelling has gone down, I don’t think they’ll be sausage eyes, and if I take good care of the scars, I don’t think it’ll show!! I only want the swelling to go down a bit more quickly so I can wear lenses and do makeupㅋㅋㅋ
