Even just from the photos, the shape looked so pretty.><Dressing the next day. Even though it was revision surgery, there really wasn’t much swelling. If anything, the swelling was much less than during my first surgery. It just felt kind of stuffy? That was about it, and recovery was fast too.><The day the splint came off><Current line><Current line><Current line>My first surgery was about a year and a half ago, and back then I used an Innofit implant, septal cartilage, donated costal cartilage, ear cartilage, artificial dermis... Seriously, I used so many materials that it felt like there was nothing I didn’t put in. It was also a fairly famous clinic in Seoul, but just in case, I won’t say where it was. My revision surgery is approaching two months now (I had surgery on May 8). There were a few reasons I had revision surgery. 1. A step-off... Other people might not notice, but I’m extremely sensitive, so it kept bothering me. 2. The semi-ski-slope nose... I said so many times that I really hated it, but in the end, I still got a curved line. Even though I emphasized it right up until just before surgery. (The line I like is a straight line with a slightly masculine feel, like Seo Yea-ji or Go Youn-jung.) 3. I wanted a more glamorous look. 4. But the decisive reason I had revision surgery was that after I got really sick with a cold last winter, my nose kept hurting. I think it started after my immunity dropped. The first clinic said it would be okay and just gave me an antibiotic injection, and that was it... But in the end there was no improvement, even the support structure became swollen, and I had irrigation done too. After that, my nose gradually got lower, and maybe the cartilage melted because of inflammation, seriously... The director said we should just watch it a bit longer, but by then I had already lost a lot of trust. So I started looking into revision surgery. I went around to several clinics in Gangnam, Apgujeong, and Sinsa, and in the end I chose the place that understood the direction I wanted best and gave me an honest consultation. I had some scar tissue on the mucous membrane inside my nose, and they said they would address that together too. From the first consultation, everything was really clear. My nose before revision surgery was honestly not that bad in shape. The consultant also said my current nose wasn’t bad, and that other people would actually say it was a pretty nose. A lot of my acquaintances also reacted by saying, “You just need to control the inflammation, so why are you getting surgery again?” But I don’t care about things like that. It has to look pretty to my own eyes. I disliked that nose so much that I didn’t even want to take photos or go out. It was to that extent. Especially that semi-ski-slope line... Even though I said I hated it that much, it still ended up looking like a semi-ski-slope nose. My mouth still looked protruded too... Even if it cost more money, I really wanted to have revision surgery. So when I went for another consultation, I also said I really hated curved noses, and that I didn’t want the nasal tip to be too pointy, that I was fine with a plump feel, and that I didn’t like a thin, sharp look. I said it many times. Day 7, the day the splint came off People say a lot of things about nose surgery, like you have to watch it for a few months, or you only know after a month, right? But in my opinion, the moment the splint comes off, you need to immediately feel that it’s right for it to be a success. During my first surgery, as soon as the splint came off, I immediately went, “Hmm...” This time, as soon as it came off, I thought, “Ah, this is it...” and I seriously wanted to jump up and down right there. That’s how much I liked it. The acquaintances who had asked why I was getting revision surgery are now all asking where I got it done, and I’m hearing that it’s pretty so much. Because my nose got higher, my face overall has more dimension, and the glamorous line I wanted came out so well, so I’m very satisfied. For reference, for the revision surgery I used silicone + autologous costal cartilage. Current photos As a lot of the swelling went down, the line I wanted came out. I had a lot of stress while going around to several clinics, but in the end, seeing this result now makes me feel like everything has been compensated for.
