The surgery seems to have taken about 25 minutes. Through a closed approach, silicone + AlloDerm + cartilage tying were all removed. I did everything I could for post-op care. 0. Drank pumpkin juice, took vitamins and supplements 1. Slept sitting slightly reclined 2. Until day 2.5, I used frozen tube pops + frozen glutinous rice cakes for cold compresses After that, warm compresses (heated a wet towel in the microwave for 1 minute 30 seconds, let the steam come off, then when it cooled a bit, used it as a compress) 3. Drank lots of water. I didn’t take things like Rizaben. After one week, I had the stitches removed, and 90% of the swelling went down.. Because first of all, my nose doesn’t really hurt much. Piggy nose also lifts up about halfway; however, it isn’t soft. Right after getting the stitches removed, I went to the library. The obvious cosmetic-surgery look also disappeared. People seeing me for the first time now don’t even know I had it done. There is scar tissue left at the nasal tip, so it got a bit bigger; I think time is the medicine for this. Because there was no inflammation, my nose didn’t become upturned or anything like that. Even after the scar tissue goes down, if I touch the nasal tip, unless I get cartilage repositioning, I don’t think it will return to its previous appearance; but my impression has returned. I’ll have to keep watching the progress, but I really like how peaceful I feel after removal.
