<Before surgery (front)><After surgery (front)><Before surgery (side)><After surgery (side)>It’ll soon be 3 months since my rhinoplasty, so I think the swelling is pretty much gone by now. Posting a review~~ Since my nose was naturally very small and short, when I was going around to consultations, other clinics said there wouldn’t be much of an effect unless they raised it very aggressively. But looking at the comparison, doesn’t the result look clearly noticeable? For the nose materials, I used silicone and 2 pieces of donated costal cartilage, and I also had short-nose and bulbous-nose correction done!! Maybe because my nose was short and small, when I got a CT scan, my nasal septum wasn’t even about one finger joint long, so everywhere I went, they said my nose couldn’t be raised with septal cartilage alone. My skin is also on the thicker side, so they said costal cartilage would be right if it was going to properly function as a support strut. But autologous costal cartilage felt burdensome, so while I was thinking it over, they said they could use 2 pieces of donated costal cartilage to make the absorption rate as low as possible, so I went with that!! This was the only place where I heard about this method. And during the consultation, this was the place that explained my skin thickness + various materials and told me the realistic possible range for raising my nose, so I had surgery here. But honestly, the biggest reason was that the post-rhinoplasty simulation was so much my style lol. The director didn’t just quickly do a design and end it; they kept communicating with me and adjusted the design together.. At first, because there was swelling, I wasn’t sure, but I thought, “Still, my bulbous nose was corrected, so I’m satisfied~” Now that a few months have passed, it’s really becoming more and more in sync with the nose I saw in the simulation~~ Thanks to that, I have no regrets about the design~~ At this point, I don’t really feel much pulling around the philtrum, and it doesn’t feel awkward when I smile either, so I’m comfortably going about daily life!! For everyone who feels burdened by autologous costal cartilage like I did, try asking for 2 pieces of donated costal cartilage to lower the absorption rate! Ah, but I feel like this is something they wouldn’t even suggest first unless it’s a clinic that specializes professionally in noses.. Make sure to research surgery well before doing it!
