Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redo

A review I’m sharing 5 months after revision surgery following complete nose implant removal...^^

I got rhinoplasty because I wanted my first surgery to look glamorous, but after the splint was removed and even as more swelling went down over time, I couldn’t get away from looking like Pinocchio Honestly, it’s true that I chose a glamorous look because I wanted it, but the nose didn’t suit me and I didn’t like it They could have at least designed it to fit my face a bit better... Anyway, I even developed a side effect where the nasal tip looked upturned, so my dissatisfaction + worry made my stress level really high In the end, I had everything removed and chose to have only the nasal tip revised naturally... In my first surgery, they had put in as much as 4 mm of silicone, but for the revision I did it without an implant Why? Because I had a chalk-stick-looking nose. The bridge was so artificial that there wasn’t a single person who couldn’t tell I’d had nose surgery But after the rhinoplasty, my nasal tip ended up looking upturned too, so I didn’t want to put silicone in again For those reasons, I’d already lived with a glamorous nose once, and what I ultimately got was an artificial nose shape I was never satisfied with and a tip that looked upturned So I had the revision done naturally, and they said septal cartilage could be used for the nasal tip, so we used that, and also used postauricular fascia What changed is that I got away from the chalk-stick nose and now have a natural-looking nasal bridge, and my sharp, high nasal tip improved to more of a rounded but defined tip? I’m now 5 months post-op, and even though the silicone was removed, it doesn’t look spread out, the bridge isn’t bumpy, and there’s no step-off I think the fact that there’s nothing like that makes me feel even more relieved Other people might think it’s too natural and have another revision to make it higher... But maybe because I had problems with my nose and was psychologically so anxious the whole time after surgery, I think I’m living more comfortably now after having it done naturally
