I really never imagined rhinoplasty would hurt this much. I wondered if I was just unusual, so I looked up posts about anesthesia... It seems most people do it under sedation anesthesia until the end??? They say surgery costs more if an anesthesiologist is used.. So maybe that is why this clinic just did it this way... I am also the type who endures pain well.... but if you are very scared, please look carefully into the anesthesia method during surgery before having it done~ Especially if it is surgery that requires osteotomy, if it is done under local anesthesia, you may experience pain like mine~ I thought, well.... eyes and nose are commonly done these days, so I took it lightly and lay down on the operating table without much thought, and then wandered on the brink of death and came back....... Before surgery, the clinic told me to fast and not even drink water, so of course I thought the surgery would be done under sedation anesthesia until the end??? They did start with sedation anesthesia... but I woke up really quickly~ I thought, is it already over???... But they were still... removing ear cartilage.... Still, at that time I only heard sounds and had no sensation~ Then the nose surgery started.... Oh my.... really.... it hurt from beginning to end.... Especially if they do osteotomy, it is death~ I could feel them scraping the bone with something like a chisel~ It was not a gentle scraping like sanding softly; I could feel that this thing was mercilessly scraping away at my skull.... (They were actually holding my head and cutting away the bone...ㅡㅜ) And because they shave the bone next to the eyes too, imagining the chisel moving back and forth next to my eyeball was incredibly terrifying~ That terrifying surgery time lasted about 3 hours... The biggest shock was when they put cotton inside my nose at the end of the surgery... At that time, the doctor warned me in advance, saying it would hurt a little~ It had already hurt continuously until then, so I wondered how much it would hurt for him to warn me beforehand... They really pushed the cotton deep~~~~ all the way to the nasal bone beside the eye.... Only people who have experienced it will know this pain~ I cried out loud, bawling~ (Among people who had sedation anesthesia, some said they cried because it hurt even when this cotton was removed...;; Maybe I had gotten used to the pain, because I just got through that much~!!) During the surgery, at first I cried because it hurt~ Later I even felt miserable?! and cried~ Before rhinoplasty I had even been considering breast surgery... but now I have decided to just live with the way I was born.... The aftereffects of rhinoplasty are too big~!! Anyway... I still remember each step of the surgery process one by one, and it is painful~ Those of you having nasal osteotomy...... anesthesia..... check it carefully before doing it~... Ah~!! Mine was not hump nose osteotomy, but shaving down bones spread out to the sides, so it may have been more terrifying~!!
