<Before surgery><After surgery>This is my review after my first nose surgery + 3 types of facial contouring at the clinic. On the day of surgery, I just found it amazing how I had ended up in the recovery room. It was not like, “Aaaah, it hurts!!” Rather, I had drainage tubes attached to my face, a compression band, cold compresses, and both sides of my nose were blocked, so it was mostly hard to breathe and felt very stuffy. During the consultation, the consultant had said that on the day of surgery I would think, “Why did I do this?” and that was exactly right lol. I really wondered why I had done it, but it was not regret like, “I shouldn’t have done this...” It was more like I just wanted this moment to pass quickly haha. I think people who have had surgery will relate. But strangely enough, I only had that thought on the day of surgery, and now I am going crazy wondering what my face will look like one month and six months later haha. I also felt nauseous and even retched, but every time I pressed the bell, the nurse came right away, checked my condition, and made sure I got my painkillers on time, which was truly a huge comfort. The overnight nurse at the clinic was really an angel. I wanted to thank her, but when I was discharged, she had already gone home. So I want to express my thanks like this at least! The day after surgery, they removed the nasal packing and drainage tubes. The nurse pulled the nasal packing out smoothly, and just that alone made breathing feel so refreshing. Dr. Jung Jin-wook personally removed the drainage tubes, which made me feel even more reassured. It felt like a cord that had been placed inside my gums was being pulled out in one long motion. It did not hurt, and it was a little gross, but it was over quickly, so it was bearable. When I was discharged, they explained each item they gave me one by one and carefully went over the precautions while looking at the paper, which I really appreciated. My mom came to pick me up, so I went home by car. At home, I ate the New Care and pumpkin morning porridge the clinic gave me, and kept doing cold compresses and wearing the compression band. My mouth barely opened, so I did not have much appetite either. At one week, I visited the clinic and had the stitches in my nose and temple area removed. They said the stitches inside my mouth and nose were dissolvable, so I could just leave them as they were. They also removed the silicone splints inside my nose. The skin therapist was off that day, so I only received LED care, then visited again on Saturday and had my first skin-care session: cleansing, exfoliation, oxygen therapy, LED care, and a modeling mask. They said there would be 3 sessions in total. From day 8, my appetite gradually came back, and I ate almost all kinds of soft foods. Porridge, bread, cup noodles, steamed egg, ice cream, etc. haha. I also took my medicine diligently and applied the ointment well morning and evening. I could not walk much at first, but once I started walking from week 2, the swelling definitely went down. On the day I reached week 2, I visited the clinic, received skin care, and Dr. Jung Jin-wook personally checked the overall progress inside my nose and mouth and also looked at the swelling. Because my swelling was quite severe, the doctor personally gave me swelling injections too! After that, I could visibly see the cheek fat that had looked like hamster cheeks go down, so I am satisfied. I was scared that the nerves or sensation around my chin might not come back, but now everything is normal! However, when I touch the skin, it still feels a little like it is not my own skin, but it is gradually improving. When I eat hard foods or large foods, I feel a tingling sensation around my jaw or cheekbones, so for now I am still cutting food into small pieces before eating. People say you lose weight after facial contouring, but in my case, I am actually trying these days to maintain my weight so I do not lose any.
