7 years ago, I followed a friend and had double eyelid surgery here. I have sunken eyes, and the distance between my eyebrows and eyes is on the close side. I also had epicanthal folds. I think the price was affordable with a student exam-taker discount. (I don’t remember the exact price. My mom paid for it.) They removed fat through a partial incision and created the line with the non-incisional suture method. From the first day, there was almost no swelling, and there were about three suture points per eye. I did wonder, are my eyes really that short? And it really was a natural in-line crease.. They also recommended epicanthoplasty, but at the time I said I wouldn’t do it because my eyes weren’t far apart. About a year later, though, because of the epicanthal folds, the line kept getting swallowed, so I belatedly had upper epicanthoplasty at another hospital lol. But at that time the line was okay, so I left it alone, but the line gradually got lower, and now one side has come undone lol. But if it lasted 7 years, I also wonder whether I should rate this place positively lol. The biggest advantage of this place seems to be <naturalness>. For 7 years, except for about 2 years when it was a bit noticeable, people around me said they didn’t know I had double eyelid surgery, and even when working, I just went around pretending I hadn’t had double eyelid surgery lol. If I say this in a bad way, someone might say, “This is what you got done?” Because it’s so natural, it doesn’t feel like my impression changed dramatically?
And the local anesthesia I had back then was about as painful as anesthesia for wisdom tooth extraction, so I still remember it. I also remember the stuffed bear they gave me to hold, and I remember the music that was playing then. The surgery time wasn’t long. 30-40 minutes?
Also, I originally had asymmetrical eyes, and they did say that no matter how much they matched them, there was bound to be a difference, but one side’s line was thicker. At first it was okay, but now the side that was thinner back then has come undone lol. But the ptosis correction didn’t come undone, so it feels like just the crease line disappeared lol. The eye size is the same.. I’m also debating whether to just have revision surgery here lol. I think it suited my small, short, sunken eyes.
