About 2.5 to 3 years ago.. I had nose surgery.. I had the cartilage tied and the silicone placed.. Ever since the bandages were removed.. I wasn’t really happy with it.. I often thought I wanted to have it removed because it made me look older... Lately I had some time, so I went and untied all the cartilage.. and removed the silicone too.. You know, after surgery you can look kind of monstrous... and dirty and stuff, but I just hope it heals quickly... There are cases where surgery succeeds, but for me the post-op result was kind of disappointing.. And if you don’t remove it quickly, I worried that after a few more years it would be harder to go back to the original nose. When I told the doctor I was worried about contracture, they said I didn’t need to worry too much about that.. Since there was no infection involved when it was removed.. Anyway, now that it’s out, I feel relieved.. I’m just taking the medicine the hospital gave me... I’m not taking any other medication... Would warm compresses be good starting one week after surgery? Since it’s after surgery, I’m a little worried about massage.
