I had nose surgery in 2014, and about a little over a month after the surgery, I had mild inflammatory symptoms, but after nasal irrigation, it got better. I had silicone, septal cartilage, ear cartilage, and lateral osteotomies on both sides of my nose. Recently, I started having symptoms that felt like inflammation again, with pain inside my nose. It felt throbbing and tight, and pus-like discharge kept coming out from inside my nose ㄷㄷ I went to a nearby ENT too, but they said it was okay, that it was something like folliculitis inside the nose, and prescribed medication. Even after taking the medicine, it didn’t feel like it was getting better, so I thought this was serious and frantically searched the internet for days. I decided on removal and immediately booked an appointment at a removal clinic. I called all the removal clinics and they said they were fully booked ㅠ I begged them, saying any time slot was fine, and asked them to move it up as much as possible if they could. Luckily, they contacted me about a canceled slot, so I was able to go for a consultation pretty quickly ㅜㅜ I was able to visit two places with just a day between them. At the first clinic I went to, they said pus kept coming out from inside my nose, that this was inflammation, and that I needed to remove it quickly. I was really scared..ㅠㅠ But at the second place I went to the next day, they said I must have gotten a wound inside my nose without realizing it, scar tissue formed there, and that was why fluid was coming out. They said it was nothing, that it would be fine after taking antibiotics and letting time pass. It was also a place very famous for removals.. and they said so strongly that it was nothing.. so I thought they were conscientious, felt a bit relieved, and didn’t go to the remaining clinic.. But after 1-2 weeks, the pain got worse. My nose became red, swollen tight, and it felt like my heartbeat was in my nose.. ;; The pain was so severe that I thought I couldn’t go on like this, so I begged the place where I had consulted to please schedule emergency surgery quickly and make sure I could have it done. I set a date and had total removal surgery 3 days later ㅠㅠ During the 3 days waiting for surgery, I couldn’t really live normally..ㅠ If I had been any later, it was almost at the point where the silicone could have pierced through inside my nose. My nasal skin was already thin, and with the inflammation coming and going, I guess the skin couldn’t hold up.. ㄷㄷ If the symptoms hadn’t gotten worse, I might have left it untreated and developed contracture,,ㅠㅠ I just thought.. I should have removed it quickly from the beginning when I first made up my mind..ㅠㅠ I later found out that there were a lot of bad things said about the doctor who said it was nothingㅠ It seems like he diagnoses strangely..;; He tells people whose condition isn’t serious that it’s serious.. and tells people who are actually serious that it’s nothing;;ㄷㄷ Everyone, if you feel even a little anxious or something seems off, make sure to go to a clinic, visit as many places as possible to hear opinions, and make a careful decision ㅠㅠㅠ This all happened within the past month, so my mental state almost completely shattered. Now that a few days have passed after removal, at least my mind feels more at easeㅠㅠ I’ll recover and leave a review about whether the removal went wellㅜ
