I recently had incisional double eyelid surgery. Before surgery, I had to open my eyes using my forehead, and I also had to raise my eyebrows for my eyes to open, and to keep my mouth closed I had to look upward, so I worried about it a lot. I thought it might be ptosis, so I looked into a famous hospital in Gangnam and searched here and there, but the prices were very expensive and the risk of postoperative side effects was quite high. They said it could actually look even more unnatural, or the eyes might not close fully, and that even very well-known plastic surgery clinics consider it a difficult surgery. They say there are many different types of ptosis depending on the person, and even when they perform the procedure thinking it is a similar case, the results can turn out completely different quite often. So after thinking it over, I decided to first visit an ophthalmology clinic. Those doctors are not the kind who would recommend something unnecessary just to make business for themselves. So I went and asked, and they told me it was pseudoptosis. They said if I had surgery in that condition, it would actually make the shape look more unnatural. It was such a relief. I think it is not appropriate to just casually get a consultation at a plastic surgery clinic and go ahead with it, because there you usually consult mostly with a consultant manager. Even the ophthalmologist, who is a specialist, spent about 10 minutes telling me to close and open my eyes, look here, measuring with a ruler, look over there, up and down, and lift my eyes, even though this is something they do all the time. Ophthalmologists are people who spend 4 years continuously learning about the eyeball and the nearby muscles around the eyes, and I think there is nothing more accurate than that. So I only had double eyelid surgery, and now I no longer have to lift my forehead or have my eyebrows out of place. I was actually surprised because my eyes open so well now lol Everyone, please do not just think plastic surgery automatically means going to a plastic surgery clinic. Before that, take just 3,000 won and slowly walk over to an ophthalmology clinic first. I do not think you need to spend 2 million won because you wanted to save 3,000 won, or take on every risk for eyes that may not even need that surgery. I am saying this from my own experience.
