At the beginning of May last year, I went to consult with Dr. ㄱㅅㅁ (currently at another hospital) about ptosis correction, and they actively recommended other surgeries too, so I got lower lateral canthoplasty, upper medial canthoplasty, under-eye fat repositioning, and incisional ptosis correction all done. Since I was getting several things done together, I did emphasize that I wanted it as natural as possible because I was worried it would become excessive, but it ended up barely noticeable and I didn’t like it. Up to here, okay. Now the first problem comes up here. I had it done for 3.2 or 3.4 million won on the condition that I write photo reviews on the ㄱㄴㅇㄴ and ㅂㅂㅌ apps, and the condition was that I had to write 5 reviews to get back the 500,000 won prepayment. The problem was the review method: if I took photos and sent them, they edited them and sent them back telling me to upload them. I thought maybe they would just do something like simple skin retouching, but they completely enlarged the eye size and changed the shape. Of course I had never been told about this beforehand, and in my case I was already extremely stressed because I didn’t like the result, so being told to upload fake photos with enlarged eyes was absurd, and I wondered if that would make me complicit in fraud. When I complained, they apologized and sent them again without changing the size. This part was also okay. The second problem was that because I wasn’t satisfied with my first surgery, I went for a revision consultation, but they said the doctor who did the first surgery had gone to another hospital, so I had to receive it from someone else. I chose another doctor who had many reviews and seemed good, but they said that person wasn’t allowed and that I could only receive after-service from the designated doctor. The designated doctor (ㄱㅅㅅ) had so few reviews or testimonials that there were almost none. It was ridiculous and absurd, but I decided to at least have the consultation. During the consultation, I said my concerns were that the ptosis correction had been too insufficient and the medial canthoplasty had been insufficient, but because I am a man, I fundamentally wanted natural monolids or eyes with just a slight inner double eyelid, not excessive. The doctor said the medial canthoplasty was at a level where it had barely been done, and that it should be opened as much as possible, and also suggested raising the double-eyelid line. I said I was worried it would look burdensome and asked what if my eyes looked too close together, and he said it absolutely would not look burdensome. Since it was a revision surgery, I had gone to many other hospitals too, but Dr. ㄱㅅㅅ was so kind, comfortable, and spoke with such confidence that I was drawn to him. More than anything, I decided to trust him, thinking that since he was providing after-service instead of the doctor who left, he probably wouldn’t be taking much money. To say the conclusion first, I want to say it was the worst choice of my life. The double eyelids are sausage-like, and the medial canthoplasty was also excessive, so I’m looking into restoration. I’ve been suffering for 7 months with depression and social avoidance.. For reference, this doctor is very humane and such a good person. It’s just that, separately from that, the surgery failed so badly.. And the two absurd systems of this hospital that I mentioned earlier deserve criticism, so I gave a low star rating, but honestly the hospital facilities and staff kindness were good. But the most important thing is that they can’t do surgery well.. ㅂㄹㅇ.. The worst choice of my life..
