Recently, while considering whether to have my eyes and nose operated on together, I also had a functional issue (difficulty breathing through one side of my nose), so I looked into consultations at several clinics and ended up choosing Director Lee Chi-an.
I had surgery for a deviated septum once before, and I wasn’t sure whether they had resected the inferior turbinate as well, but recovery was so difficult back then and the packing was left in for a long time, so this time I wanted a consultation focused on minimizing the burden of recovery as much as possible.
The clinic was clean, and the staff responded calmly and kindly. They took a CT scan right away, and I was able to hear an explanation of my nasal condition on the spot. They also checked the condition of my inferior turbinates and said they would adjust things so that only the minimum necessary would be touched if needed.
What I liked most was that the director didn’t simply ask, “What would you like done?” but logically explained “why this surgery is needed, and how we should approach it to achieve a stable result.”
When I asked whether a mixed method using autologous cartilage, rather than silicone alone, was possible, they explained the combination while considering my skin thickness and even the possibility of contracture, and regarding insurance claim documents, they also explained which parts could be covered by insurance, so I trusted them.
I was worried that doing the eyes and nose at the same time might be too much, but they set a realistic surgery time and recovery plan, so I’ve almost made up my mind to go ahead with the surgery.
We also coordinated the surgery date, and I’m expecting them to create a natural yet refined image for me.
