I had my first double-eyelid surgery in 2019, but I didn’t like the line and wanted to redo it, so I’d been thinking about it since 2021. I went to consultations back then too, but couldn’t decide. Since the end of last year, I started going to consultations again, one place at a time. Now, my final choices are: 1. ㅌㅌㅇ Director Jang ㅇㅈ: incisional double eyelid surgery, ptosis correction, fat grafting above the eyes, epicanthoplasty 2. ㅎㄴ Choi ㅈㅎ: non-incisional buried suture double eyelid surgery, fat grafting above the eyes, upper epicanthoplasty, circle canthoplasty I’ve narrowed it down to these two places.
During all this time, I seriously did so much online research and legwork, narrowing it from 10 places to 4, and then from those 4 down to 2. Now what I have to decide is whether to do incision or buried suture….
Some people say that as long as they say buried suture is possible, just do buried suture. They say that even if you do incision, the skin will sag later anyway, so it’s the same, and only the scar remains. Others say incision actually creates a cleaner line and lasts longer. ㅠㅠ
But it’s not that my first surgery has come undone; the line is still there. It’s just that the line was set quite low from the beginning, and as time passed and the skin stretched, the line sometimes goes in as an inner double eyelid.
Because my skin is thin, when I went around for consultations, more clinics said buried suture was possible. However, since I’m in my mid-30s and my eyelid skin is a bit saggy, there were clinics that recommended incision, saying that if it’s done with buried suture, the line might not form as prettily as I want.
I’m more drawn to the female director and Director Jang ㅇㅈ, but when I researched online, there didn’t seem to be many really realistic reviews, and I’m also worried about doing it by incision.
Director Choi ㅈㅎ at ㅎㄴ had good results on a YouTuber, there are really a lot of reviews, and the line is exactly my style, but I also saw a lot of bad reviews..
I’m so tornㅠㅠㅠ
