My nose was originally high and large, but its size and shape from the front were way too odd, so I had surgery about 3 years ago. It went in as a hump nose and bulbous nose correction, and before surgery we talked about removing fat from the tip, tying it up and lifting it, adding support to the columella, and doing osteotomy to narrow the width, among other things. I absolutely did not want the height increased at all (the kind of nose I prefer is low and small). But to get the frontal effect, it seemed like I had to raise it at least a little. In the end, after surgery and the first day after the splint came off, I was so surprised by how much of a Pinocchio nose it looked like. Since they raised it that much, there was definitely a frontal effect. Three years later, it doesn't seem as high as the initial shock, but... it's still big. From the front, it looks smaller than my original nose, but it's still broad. Because my nose was so bulbous to begin with, whether I had surgery or not, it was about twice as big as most people's. So I think there were limits to what could be done... I'm planning a revision now. Anyway, the director here seems to prefer straight-to-slightly-curved nose lines. I thought maybe that was because I kept talking about wanting a natural line, but later I came across this plastic surgery clinic on Shorts or Reels, and even the models in the ads had roughly the same straight shape as mine. For people it suits, it's a very sophisticated line. But what still scares me most about this place is... the surgery I had here was my very first surgery ever and my first nose surgery, and I woke up during the operation and almost died. It really, really, really hurt so badly... I kept wriggling, begging for more anesthetic, and the nurse tied my hands and told me there was nothing they could do and I had to endure it while they were cutting my nose for dozens of minutes. I didn't even know what was happening, and afterward I never got an explanation, so even now I don't know what that was or whether it was a dream... it became such a dreamlike experience. It was the first time in my life I had felt such torture? It was so frightening and painful that I really felt death would have been better, but somehow cosmetic surgery is something I ended up doing again lol And after that I had quite a few more cosmetic procedures... nothing like that ever happened again. Thinking about it now still makes my knees weak.
