I had nose surgery through an incision in the nostril!! I hated the idea of having a scar so much that at first I was going to do a closed no-scar rhinoplasty... but then I thought, well, classic is classic for a reason, and even though I personally wanted an open procedure, I still went with a clinic that does open surgery. My face is on the round side, so I begged them to please not make it pointy, and I brought 3 reference nose photos of the look I wanted and 3 nose photos of what I absolutely did not want. Nasal bridge silicone 2 mm, septal cartilage, and donated costal cartilage were used. Maybe because they are very sensitive about scars, they said they wouldn’t use ear cartilage because they were worried about visible scarring, and suggested using donated costal cartilage right away. I’m so satisfied right now!! My checkup is the day after tomorrow, so I’ll go and then upload photos after the swelling has gone down. If I post photos while it’s still very swollen, they won’t be accurate!!
