Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redo

I want to have everything removed

I had surgery six years ago with silicone and ear cartilage, and recently cartilage started showing through at the nasal tip, so I’ve become desperate to have it removed.

But the place where I originally had surgery is gone now, and when I look around cafes, it seems many people remove only the silicone and leave the nasal tip as is.

In my case, I’m removing it because the ear cartilage is showing through at the nasal tip, so rather than revision surgery where they trim the ear cartilage or add something over it, I want complete removal.

After deciding on removal, I know I can’t go completely back to my old nose, but I’m worried because I can’t feel reassured, and maybe it’s L-shaped silicone, because the nasal tip is very hard.

When I first had surgery, I was a naive kid with no fear, but now that I know about complications to the point that even hearing the word plastic surgery makes me shudder, I’m really scared..

I thought plastic surgery complications would be someone else’s problem and that once the surgery was done, that would be the end, but spending all this money and going through all this emotional distress is really not something anyone should do.

For those who, like me, have removed or are thinking of removing silicone + ear cartilage, please share information on hospitals that are good at removal.

I heard university hospitals do general anesthesia; is that true for all university hospitals??
