First review on day 4 after square jaw + chin tip surgery, male in my mid-30s I did it after leaving my job, thinking of it as the last opportunity in my life (plastic surgery). I had square jaw surgery + T-osteotomy setback. If I had double-jaw surgery, the space inside my mouth would decrease, and since my tongue is long, there were many things I was worried about. Since there was no major issue with my occlusion, I thought plastic surgery was more suitable than dentistry, and so far I think that was the right decision. It is still only day 4, so it is too early to discuss the results. First, I’ll share the early recovery process. Until yesterday it was hard, but now on day 4 I’m almost completely fine... I’m surprised, thinking I’m suffering less than expected. Since I’m a man, I went to ㄴㅈㅎ Plastic Surgery, which is known for doing things safely and conservatively. (I went to other places too, but they gave much more conversational consultations. The consultation time was on a completely different level from factory-style clinics.) My schedule was delayed, so I had one more consultation, and they gave me another consultation again.. At that time I also asked about my nose, and even though I didn’t proceed with nose surgery, I got quite a few tips. (I also picked up things I honestly hadn’t gotten from my previous nose plastic surgery clinic~~!) Even though I had already had a consultation before, on the first day of surgery, the director carefully drew on my face and talked with me additionally for about 30-40 minutes. Again, I thought it was much better than a factory-style clinic. The cost also doesn’t seem that much more expensive than factory-style clinics. (Only about a 1 million won difference?) On the first day, it hurt so much I couldn’t even sleep. Rather than my jaw, my headache and throat pain were actually worse. From the second day, the phlegm was really severe, and until the afternoon of the third day I felt like I was going to throw up and it was difficult. But from the evening of the third day, I improved rapidly. (I think it was because the aftereffects of general anesthesia went away.) Even if it is extremely hard momentarily, I think 2-3 days pass quickly. So I don’t think there is a need to hesitate over surgery because of the pain. I saw someone say their quality of life drops for nearly a month, but I think it should be okay if you mainly eat liquid or soft foods and rest well. After surgery, I was surprised because my face seemed to have become too much of a V-line, but they said it only looked that way temporarily because of the shape of the compression. I’ll share another review next week when the CT results come out! Sharing my current day-4 photo as the main photo.
