Regarding the two correction procedures, he said things like “The principle of this surgery is like this,” but somehow I felt ambiguity, like we would only know for sure after opening it during surgery..? And when I asked about silicone for the nasal bridge, he said that if it were used, this nose would need an extremely thin layer.
I’ll write only what I remember from the director’s words. “The structure of the nose is like a triangular tent.” “It doesn’t get higher just because you stack something on it.” - A person who is 150 cm tall may look elevated if they wear 20 cm high heels, but they don’t look taller. > Explanation of structural limitations To meet my needs, “This nose would need general anesthesia and a full-scale operation.” “But I’m not confident about general anesthesia.” - Hearing this made me feel he was conscientious, and when I heard the quote from the consultant, it just sounded like he was indirectly saying he hoped I wouldn’t get surgery from him. “If we do it under general anesthesia, I (the director) feel anxious, so I always hospitalize the patient for one day.. A resident nurse will watch over them.” “We’ll block it with cotton, and when I ask patients how they feel after surgery, there’s something they commonly say - ‘I feel so suffocated I could die.’” “If it’s a nose with a deviated septum, it’s a difficult nose to operate on.” So when I asked about functional rhinoplasty, he said, “This nose should be approached cosmetically. Before-and-after photos: Maybe because they were photos taken at one week post-op, they still showed a lot of swelling. Here, rather than rhinoplasty turning out pretty, many cases only had the hump improved. Because of limitations from the person’s innate nasal structures, only a small number had a prettier side profile, while the majority only had the hump improved and the side profile stayed the same. (You can see realistic outputs.) So I thought it was hard to predict the director’s aesthetic sense, and at least for rhinoplasty, I felt it was a plastic surgery clinic for treatment purposes rather than a merchant-like plastic surgery clinic.

Brief evaluation: I was shocked after hearing the quote, and I expect that even if I accept this cost, there is a high chance my needs won’t be met.
