When I first went around for hospital consultations, I heard “It would be good to do alar reduction together” so many times, you know? I was also concerned about my bulbous nose, but since my skin is on the thicker side, they said that for the nasal tip to take shape naturally, the alar line also needed to be refined for everything to be harmonious. Alar reduction felt like an essential course for me.. But on the other hand, I had concerns too.. I was worried it might look awkward if reduced too much, and the fact that it’s a surgery that can’t be reversed was also quite burdensome. But during the consultation, the D-Day director paid a lot of attention to the design and said they would refine my alae in a ratio that suits my face, without making them too narrow. After hearing that, I think I felt a bit more at ease about the surgery. After actually getting nose surgery, my alae became slimmer, but I think they did it just right so my nose doesn’t look small. I’m satisfied because the line from the nasal bridge to the nasal tip looks natural
