Sharing reviews from 6 double eyelid consultations for multiple eyelid creases & sleepy eyes! (…

Hi! Sharing reviews from visiting 6 hospitals in Gangnam, Sinnonhyeon, and Apgujeong ~ Maybe there’s someone with concerns similar to mine? First, I was born with a lot of creases in my eyes.. I’ve lived hearing a lot that I look sleepy, but when I put on makeup it seemed okay, so I just lived with it. But now as I get older and lose fat, my eyes feel like they’re gradually losing strength. So I was just going to do simple double eyelid surgery, but many doctors strongly recommended double eyelid surgery + ptosis correction. But since this is my first surgery, I’m scared and conservative, so I want to settle it with buried-suture double eyelid surgery only. In cases like mine where the eyes look like they lack strength, is there anyone whose eyes became even a little clearer by giving strength to the double eyelid line with only the buried-suture method?? My younger sibling also looks like their eyes lack strength, but their double eyelid has strength, so it’s fine... If I don’t put strength into my eyes, it feels like only about 70% of my pupils show. If I put strength in, they open fully. I can open them without using my eyebrows, but if I keep putting strength in, it gets tiring? lololol At one hospital, when they just looked, they said it was ptosis, but when they held my forehead and told me to open my eyes, I opened them well, so they said, “You open them well, but I don’t think you can keep using that much strength continuously..” and recommended buried-suture double eyelid surgery + fat grafting. 1. ㅇㄹㅌ Recommendation: ptosis correction + double eyelid surgery After reflecting my opinion: non-incisional ptosis correction + non-incisional double eyelid surgery (they said there is a possibility it could loosen), and they said to match the line to about the left side (I think they recommended it because it would probably be the most familiar line even after surgery) Overall satisfied. 2. ㅇㅁㄹ Recommendation: incisional ptosis correction + incisional double eyelid surgery After reflecting my opinion: non-incisional ptosis correction + non-incisional double eyelid surgery. They said to make the line a little lower than the left eye. Eyelid fat grafting was also recommended, but they said I could consider it later. They said the reason I look sleepy is that the line is thick and it needs to be proportional to eye size, and I liked that they explained it professionally. The consultation was also very sincere and kind. Overall satisfied. 3. ㅇㅁㄷ My friends all succeeded with buried-suture double eyelid surgery there, so I booked a consultation and waited about 5 weeks before going, but I felt like they spoke overall uncertainly about the expected surgical result, so I don’t think I’ll go there. 4. ㅇㅇㅂ Recommendation: ptosis correction + double eyelid surgery After reflecting my opinion: non-incisional double eyelid surgery + fat grafting recommended It felt like they do safe and conservative surgery. During the consultation, they tested many things for a long time and seemed to propose a solution while reflecting the patient’s opinion well. When I said I didn’t want ptosis correction, they recommended fat grafting. They said that because there is no fat to act like lubrication in the eyes, the double eyelid becomes more indistinct and opening the eyes becomes harder. And they said that (assuming I don’t do ptosis correction and do buried-suture surgery?) if I don’t do fat grafting, it seems the line won’t hold with double eyelid surgery alone. Overall satisfied. 5. ㅋㄹ Recommended incisional ptosis correction, double eyelid surgery, and fat grafting However, they declined, saying they only do non-incisional Like many consultation reviews say, they were really kind during the consultation hehe 6. ㅍㄹㅇㅂ Recommendation: incisional double eyelid surgery + incisional ptosis correction After reflecting my opinion: incisional double eyelid surgery + epicanthoplasty recommended They were kind and professional. I liked the confident explanation. They recommended epicanthoplasty, saying that if I’m not going to do ptosis correction, shouldn’t I at least do epicanthoplasty so the eyes look more open and refreshing ~ But it seemed like the hospital likes dramatic eye shapes, so I was a little concerned. Overall satisfied. I’m really torn...
