I was able to have the consultation right away without any waiting time, and the consultant was really kind. When I showed the photo I wanted, they said donated costal cartilage would need to be used. But since it was my first surgery and I had already received a consultation saying my own cartilage would be sufficient, I didn’t really want to use donated costal cartilage. When I asked whether it could be done with only my own cartilage, I was told that donated costal cartilage absolutely had to be used, so I put this place on hold.. It was disappointing that they didn’t take a separate CT scan, but the consultation was really thorough and well done, so that was good.
