First of all, I have a bulbous nose, want improvement from the front view, and since I prioritize safety and this is my first surgery, I wanted to use only ear cartilage / septal cartilage, but every clinic unanimously said that if I don’t use silicone, I won’t get the result I want, so I decided to use it. Right now I’m leaning toward ㅁㄱ, but I’m debating whether to do an osteotomy or not (if anyone has experience with osteotomy, I’d appreciate your opinion!) For the reviews below, some parts are a bit spotty because I lost my notes or... it’s been a while and I don’t remember well.
ㅇㅂㄹ - It was the very first place I went, so I was a bit confused and awkward. - Custom silicone 3-3.5 mm (ㅇㄴㅍ) - No alar base reduction, no osteotomy - Bulbous nose, short nose, columella & nostrils - Need to visit 2 weeks before surgery (design, blood test) - I wondered if custom silicone was really necessary, and the review photos seemed to have a slightly upturned nasal tip? The shape seemed a bit different from my taste, so I marked it as my second choice.
ㅇㄹ - Female director, one-doctor clinic - No CT scan - The consultation was very detailed, showing me the nose shape by making it with cotton swabs. - The consultant felt professional. - When I told them I have rhinitis / chronic sinusitis, they said I should check the sinusitis in advance and, if needed, take medication to clear the pus before surgery. - Silicone for the nasal bridge - Septal cartilage and ear cartilage for the nasal tip - Cartilage for the border area - Septal correction (aligning the deviated part with the philtrum) - Nasal ala correction (not strong cartilage tying) - Alar base reduction (my choice. It would be good to do, but it can be done later too.) - 5 million KRW, VAT separate + alar base reduction 1.1 million KRW (same price even if done later)
ㅁㄱ - Director ㄱㅇㅌ seemed very experienced and explained in the most detail while making the nose shape with cotton swabs. - An acquaintance had it done here, so they offered a big discount. No review required. - The consultant was very kind. - Lowering the columella, fat removal, alar base reduction, inferior turbinate laser, and osteotomy for 5.3 million KRW.
ㄹㅂㄹ - I made the reservation two months? ago, but the clinic called the day before and asked me to visit on a different day because of the director’s schedule, so I managed to adjust with difficulty, but then waited over 2 hours. - The consultation started when it was almost closing time, and I saw the director directly without seeing the consultant. - While waiting, I noticed another person who came for a follow-up also waited 1 hour and 30 minutes. - There was no shaping with cotton swabs, and I didn’t see before-and-after photos or anything like that. The consultation ended extremely quickly. - They said I would come in 4 times after surgery, but I would not see the director in person every time. - This was the only place that recommended costal cartilage, saying septal cartilage or ear cartilage could droop later. - No alar base reduction or osteotomy.
