About 7-8 years ago.. I had surgery on my nose bridge after shaving down a slight hump, with Gore-Tex, AlloDerm for the tip, and cartilage tying (non-open).. but I ended up with completely mismatched nostrils (one was lying down and the other was standing up ㅠㅠ), and on top of that it just did not suit my face at all, so I had it removed. (non-open removal) If the doctor had at least said it would get better once the swelling went down, I would have waited.. They kept saying things like my nostrils were slightly uneven from the start and my face was asymmetrical, so there was nothing that could be done..ㅠㅠ Since I was told that if I was going to remove it, I had to do it before the Gore-Tex was absorbed, I removed it right away. I was so happy after the removal.. I said I would never go near a plastic surgery clinic again.. But starting from about a week later.. my nose became hard,,,and then it got turned up,, back then I had no knowledge, so I kept saying my nose had become completely ruined... I went to 10 hospitals, crying and panicking... But... fortunately, it returned to its original state after 2 weeks. Because I had shaved down the hump... the bridge also became lower, and I had shaved it quite a bit in preparation for placing an implant, so it was uneven. The tip I was worried about became a little rounder, but,,, well, it went back to the same image it had before. (For those who are going to have it removed after the first surgery, there isn’t that big of a difference; it’s just a matter of time.. so don’t worry, it will return to the original state.) No one around me knew, so I guess there wasn’t that big of a difference.... After that I got married, had a child, and lived well.. Lately though.. my nose has just been looking so unattractive..ㅠㅠ I kept thinking I just wanted to do only my nose... So I dragged my husband along, went to a famous plastic surgery clinic, and had a consultation.. (This place pursues a natural look, and I had also looked into it a lot in the past, so I trusted their skill.) I booked the surgery date right away.. My nasal bridge between the eyes is extremely low, but the area behind it is not particularly low either.. and the tip isn’t absent either.. Overall my nose is long and on the large side, but in its own way it was somewhat harmonious.... The doctor said exactly what I had been thinking.. For the bridge, silicone would be used up to 1.5 mm at the dorsum of the nose. For the tip, cartilage wasn’t necessary.. Just put in a support column... and also reduce the nostrils. So.. as unnoticed as possible. I emphasized not changing my image, and had the surgery.. Open method.. First of all.. In conclusion.. it’s been 2 weeks now. I’m reasonably satisfied with the shape. The bridge is still only 2 weeks out.. and it’s not high either. It just feels like the uneven parts from before were filled in. For the tip, since they didn’t insert cartilage and only put up a column with a septal support, there’s no real change from before... The only thing is that the open columella incision area has shrunk, so that area looks sunken, making the nose look a little shorter. But I think this will be solved as the tip swelling goes down and settles, and as the sutured columella area heals.. so it’s okay... ㅠㅠ I want to remove it. The reason is.. The first surgery was because I was unhappy with the shape. This surgery was... really something I did on impulse. Without any prior information.. ㅠㅠ I thought that if silicone was laid in thinly, there would be almost no side effects. I also thought that if no cartilage was inserted into the tip, there would be almost no cartilage manipulation at all. I didn’t know what it meant to use a septal support. I just thought, maybe it’s some kind of cartilage tying? Something like that.. ㅠㅠ But it’s so hard.. The doctor said it was only about the size of the smallest fingernail. But this discomfort is far too much. Now that it’s been 2 weeks... I can barely close my lips together, but it feels completely tight.... and I’m also anxious that I might get a silicone inflammation complication... Back then, with the first surgery, I just didn’t like the shape, so I didn’t know about things like this.. And.. it was 7-8 years ago, so I guess I had forgotten everything..ㅠㅠ I swore this time I absolutely would not remove it...ㅠㅠ I want to take out the silicone and the septal support. Last time... on day 10, when I went to have the stitches inside my nose removed. Without saying that I wanted a removal, I asked, if there were inflammation and the silicone and septal support had to be taken out, would my nose go back to how it originally was? They said of course it would all go back.. The septum is just a tiny support too.. They said only the nostril reduction would be different, and everything else would go back..ㅠㅠ But... I’m worried. If I do remove it this time... It would already be the 4th time opening the nose. Then there will probably be more scar tissue attached... (If I do remove it this time too, I’m planning to do the removal within a month... because if not within a month, they said I’d have to wait 6 months..) I’m afraid I may never be able to go back to my previous nose again..ㅠㅠ The doctor said it would go back, but... I’m worried. The first surgery didn’t use the septum, and it had AlloDerm in the tip, and they tied cartilage.. I think they manipulated the alar cartilage to some extent then. During this second surgery, the doctor said that when they opened it up, the alar cartilage had already been damaged quite a bit from the cartilage manipulation in the first surgery, so they only placed a very small septal support.. ㅠㅠ Even if they used only a little septal cartilage, it was still harvested tissue after all.. And when putting in the septal support, don’t they tie it to the alar cartilage? Then the cartilage would have been damaged again.. The septal cartilage.. The alar cartilage.. They’ve basically touched everything, so... I’m worried that it may not go back to the way it was, just as the doctor said, and may become odd, or collapse later.. Does anyone here maybe want a second removal like me? And for removing these two things, the silicone and the septal support... how long does the surgery take, and how much tissue damage is there? ㅠㅠㅠ I want to be free from this discomfort and anxiety as soon as possible. The day after tomorrow, I’m going for a removal consultation. ㅠㅠ ㅠㅠ Ah, I’m so upset~~ㅠ
