Eye Surgery Considerations@eye-think

My last review of this community

I came here because a well-known influencer shared information about her own revision surgery. The manager I consulted with was apparently also her assigned manager. Just like the two places before, the consultation went manager -> director -> manager, and before meeting the director, I had actually expected a kind and delicate..? person based on the reviews, so I was a little disappointed ㅜㅜ Maybe because of the surge of surgeries from that influencer, or because she was tired, but she looked extremely tired ㅜㅜ Her way of speaking was robotically kind... But in terms of aesthetics alone, I think she was the best. At the two places before this, no one noticed or mentioned that my nose was crooked and that the whole face was slanted down to the right(?), but this director pointed it out first. Honestly, it felt like it had been less than 10 minutes into the consultation, and even though she seemed tired, she immediately saw through my facial features ㄷㄷ. I showed her a photo of the nose I wanted, and maybe she was being blunt or whatever, but she said it would be hard for the frontal nose shape to come out like that. She explained everything while sketching on the iPad photo. But..... she somehow seemed low on energy ㅜㅜ I had more questions than she had explanations. The only director who, unlike the previous two places, did not mention lowering the nostrils was this one. She said that if the columella is lifted anyway, it would look corrected..? Ah, her hands were incredibly slender and elegant, so I kept staring at them ㅎ Also, for the dermis, she said they use dermis harvested from autologous costal cartilage. I don’t think ear cartilage was mentioned? Since I had nothing else to ask, I ended the consultation quickly. Then I had one last consultation with the manager, and I got the feeling that this manager here was a bit lacking in professionalism. I thought this place would push hard for a reservation for “autologous costal cartilage + nostril angle correction + long nose correction,” but I didn’t really feel that! I asked Director Ryu to show me photos of surgical cases, and they showed them on the computer. One side profile looked absolutely amazing. What I wanted was a nose with a round tip + a classy columella + pretty nostril shape from the side, and that was exactly it. The front view was just generally pretty, and since she came from a natural-style background, it leaned more natural than flashy. Honestly, I liked that. But the consultation with the director was less detailed than I expected, so I wasn’t extremely drawn in ㅜ Still, the post-op photos were so good, and the fact that she immediately noticed the crooked bridge and the right-sided facial descent that the first two doctors had not mentioned made me think her aesthetic sense is the best ㅜㅜ Oh, and when I mentioned at the previous hospital that my costal cartilage had calcified, she said it didn’t matter..(?) and that because it was hard, there would actually be no warping and the nasal tip would be even firmer. But didn’t they say that if it was that hard, harvesting the costal cartilage would be difficult..? So I asked about that, and she said, “Yes, then it’s the director who has a hard time~ It’s the director who has to go through the trouble. The calcification doesn’t matter~” so that also sounded plausible.. Confusing. What is true..? Well, whether the director struggles to harvest my costal cartilage or not isn’t really my concern anyway.. It’s hard. As for aftercare, she said AS is free within 2 years, and post-op care (swelling management) is naturally included. I can choose between general anesthesia and sedation anesthesia, but she recommended general anesthesia.
