After having nasal tip cartilage surgery a few years ago, I had lost interest in plastic surgery for a while.. But recently, as I’ve gotten older, the under-eye fat has been getting worse, making me not want to work and making me depressed when I look in the mirror.. After really agonizing over it, I finally resolved a long-standing wish. I live in Daejeon, and honestly, in Seoul there are so many famous clinics and so much information that you can probably find a place to go pretty quickly, but in Daejeon there surprisingly aren’t many well-known places. Almost no one around me has had plastic surgery, and I can’t tell just from internet ads.. So once I start thinking I want to do something, that’s when the worrying begins ㅠㅠ Honestly, my features are not that bad, but at some point people started saying I looked tired, angry, had a strong impression, and so on. When light shines directly from above my head, the area under my eyes looks really dark, like a mean person.. ㅠㅠ It wasn’t protruding terribly like some middle-aged or elderly women, but you know, that very subtle difference in image. Whenever I looked in the mirror, I only saw that area, and actually, those who have a complex about under-eye fat will know, but other people don’t really know what the problem is. They just get the impression that you look tired and hollow-eyed.. But every time I looked in the mirror, I knew what the problem was and only saw that part.. So!! I decided. Very quickly. ㅋㅋㅋㅋ I searched online and gathered lots and lots of stories from people around me, and I took time out of a busy Saturday and got it done really quickly. At the clinic where I had the procedure, there are three directors, and they said each has a different specialty. I had a consultation with the director specializing in under-eye fat from 9 a.m., decided on surgery right away at 3:30, went to work, then went back and had the surgery. The director. ㅋㅋ He is really chic. Not exactly very kind, but not unkind either, with clear opinions and a style of speaking very directly? Anyway, I trusted that style more than directors who are too kind and try to please you. He has a lot of clinical experience, seemed somehow confident, with a nuance like, if you don’t want to do it, then don’t ㅋㅋㅋ I asked some question in the middle, and he said, "That’s a very foolish thought, right?" ㅋㅋ Ah, it didn’t make me feel bad; it was genuinely funny and amusing. Anyway, I trusted the director and the consultant, so I decided on surgery right away. I had it yesterday, so today is day two. Ah, the swelling is no joke. Maybe because I didn’t ice it much, the bridge of my nose is barely visible -_-;; Swelling similar to when I had my nose surgery before.. I have to remove the tape and go to work tomorrow, so I’m seriously worried.. Still, I’m only looking forward to imagining my face with a changed impression and looking younger. The surgery didn’t hurt at all, and even though I wasn’t fully asleep, it felt so comfortable, like the surgery ended in 10 minutes? Anyway, it was my first time under sedation anesthesia, and it was really fascinating. Once I remove this tape and the swelling goes down a bit, I’ll upload photos. There seem to be so, so many people who are really worried because of shadows from under-eye fat. ㅋㅋㅋ Ah, I’m looking forward to it. I feel much better too, and I’d have nothing more to ask for if this could also give me some vitality in life. ^^ By the way, I have a question. If the area becomes flat after fat repositioning, can the face look longer? I asked the consultant and she said no, but just thinking from common sense, I feel like my impression might change slightly that way.
