Hello? I had only been reading removal posts in this community every time, but now that it has been one month since my removal, I decided to write a post. First of all, I had open surgery with exactly two things: silicone + nasal cartilage tying. When tying the nasal cartilage, septal cartilage or ear cartilage was not used. After surgery, my nasal tip was so swollen that it became a bulbous nose. The clinic said it was swelling, so I got a swelling injection, but I did not see any effect. So I had everything removed after 12 days. Maybe because I removed it quickly, externally it has returned about 95% to my old nose. The remaining 5% is that the columella became slightly higher, so my philtrum got a little longer. It was originally a droopy nose. 1. After removal to 2 weeks, because of strong contraction, I thought my nose was going to rise all the way up to the top of my head. Especially when I went outside and was exposed to cold wind, the nasal contraction felt even more severe and the nasal tip became even harder. When I woke up in the morning, it felt like there was a stone on my face. It was a painful time. When I was inside the house, the inside of my nose felt stuffy, and when I was outside, I felt pain because of the contraction. 2. From 2 weeks to 3 weeks, the stone-like feeling after sleeping gradually disappeared. However, like the review posted just below by "Hungry Mommy," I also have severe scar tissue only on one side, so I feel columella pulling only on one side. The pulling sensation is getting better day by day. But now the inside of my nose is the problem. The inside of my nose feels extremely stuffy, as if there are boogers, and I cannot even pick it refreshingly with my hand. No matter how much I wipe with a cotton swab, it still feels stuffy. Also, even when my nose runs, because the nasal tip, the columella, is hard, even if I wipe it with a tissue, I cannot feel whether it has been wiped well unless I check in the mirror. # Medication At the one-month point, I went to the clinic. I was prescribed Lucare, which has the same effect as Rizaben, has fewer side effects, and above all is cheaper. Lucare is taken only once a day at a fixed time, and the pill is very small. At first I felt dizzy, but now I am fine. It has been 9 days since I started taking the medication. I am not sure about the medication's effect. # Scar tissue injection While getting the prescription, I told the doctor that because of the open-surgery scar, a round piece of flesh was protruding on the right side, and he gave me scar tissue injections. One shot on each side of the columella, and one shot on the nasal tip. I am not sure about the nasal tip, but the protruding part became smaller. The doctor said that after taking about one month of medication, and after one more month, since there is nothing left inside the nose after removal, it will start becoming soft from 3 months, and from 6 months it will become completely soft. Honestly, when the nasal tip is this hard, I wonder how it can become soft. I do not do separate massage, only warm compresses before going to sleep. And last night, when I pressed my nasal tip, it pressed down slightly, even if not a lot lol At first it was so hard that no matter how much I pressed with my hand, it was like steel. It also hurt. But yesterday, exactly one month later, when I pressed it with my hand, it pressed down very~slightly. This has been my one-month review. I will post again at the two-month point. Dreaming of the day my nose becomes soft... and the stuffiness inside my nose is resolved... Thank you.
