I had surgery for a bulbous nose + low nose + widened nose after double-jaw surgery using costal cartilage, ear cartilage, silicone, and alar base narrowing. I’m satisfied with the shape. But the foreign-body sensation from the donated costal cartilage is no joke. It’s so hard that it feels like a foreign body. They say donated costal cartilage doesn’t necessarily have to be used after double-jaw surgery, and that there are many cases where it’s recommended just to increase the cost. I didn’t shop around and just went ahead with it, so I regret it so much. It’s hard to breathe too... It’s nice that I look prettier, but I honestly miss my old nose. I’m thinking of having it removed right after the Lunar New Year holiday at the 2-week mark. Everyone, please be careful when deciding to use costal cartilage.
