Surprisingly, my nose before surgery wasn’t my natural nose, but the nose I had after my first surgery. 6 years ago, I had surgery using silicone and ear cartilage, but my nose was still low and blunt-looking + even in photos, my nose looked so unattractive, so in the end I decided to get revision surgery.... Honestly, it wasn’t a serious side effect like contracture or inflammation, but the shape where the columella looked pulled upward, and the low shape... I paid money for nose surgery, but it still looked like this, so I felt really disillusioned. For the revision, of course I looked into places different from the hospital where I had my first surgery, and because I didn’t want it to fail, I researched really extensively. After collecting a lot of hospitals that made the nose line I wanted, I went around for consultations, and among them, I decided on the place that explained the surgical method and everything in the most detail.. and I finally had it done. First, I requested that the height between my eyebrows stay the same + only the bridge and nasal tip height be raised more, and because the bulbous nose correction hadn’t been done properly, I asked them to correct it properly during the revision. I also had the columella and nasolabial angle lowered, along with nostril reduction. (Even though it wasn’t contracture, my nose looked short, so it had that lifted-looking? feeling, and they said lowering the nasolabial angle was necessary.) After surgery, the columella that had been curled upward came down completely, and the short-looking shape improved too. You can tell from the front and side comparisons, but the slight nostril asymmetry was also evened out, and the short-looking feeling disappeared too. Revision surgery is never easy in the first place, and just because I’m satisfied doesn’t mean I’d recommend it unconditionally, but I’m still glad I got a result I’m satisfied with after all that effort. I worried so much about revision surgery, but it made me realize how important the facial features are....
