Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redo

I am going for removal surgery tomorrow.

I had nose surgery in September 2013. The surgery involved a septal cartilage support strut, ear cartilage, and silicone. For the past few months, I have regretted thinking that if I had known about this community before surgery, and if I had paid closer attention to the discomfort after rhinoplasty... After surgery, once the tape was removed and the stitches were taken out, I was okay for about 3 weeks, but as it gradually healed, I started thinking that my nose felt too heavy and hard, so I became very depressed psychologically and regretted it a lot. About a month after surgery, I asked the doctor if removal was possible, and they said removal was possible, but they could not do it now. They said they would only do it after at least 6 months. When I asked why it could not be done now, they said the tissue had not stabilized after surgery, and if they made another incision, the surgical wound would become larger and the scar would also be bigger, so unless there was inflammation or an unavoidable situation, they could not do it. So I gave up and endured it for 6 months. Now that 6 months have passed, I asked the doctor if removal was possible, and they said it was possible. So I made a removal appointment the week before last, and now I am going to have it removed tomorrow. When people get nose surgery, most only think that if their complex is resolved, they will become more handsome or prettier; they do not think about side effects after surgery or what it will feel like after surgery, and just go ahead with it. Now I am going for removal surgery tomorrow, and I am a little scared. When I had the first surgery, I was not scared because I was full of expectation, but now I am worried about what my nose will really be like after removal and whether it can go back to my old nose. After reading review posts from people who had nasal removal in this community, I found the courage to go for removal. Since removal is also surgery, I will probably have to struggle for about another 6 months until it settles and feels comfortable. I hope I no longer have to care about my nose. After this removal surgery, I will not have any more surgery and will just live with the way I look, focusing only on my health. I am worried about tomorrow. I live outside the city, so it takes as long as 1 hour and 30 minutes by car to get to the hospital where I am having surgery. I do not think I can drive myself, but taking a bus and taxi seems like it will be quite a hassle. If I could just drive myself, I would drive there and come back, but during my first surgery, my family came with me and drove for me. Tomorrow, because of unavoidable circumstances, I have to go alone..
