There are quite a few people around me who have had rhinoplasty and are doing well for almost 20 years without problems. There are really quite a lot of people with Gore-Tex or silicone who are doing fine too! How about everyone here? Do you not have people around you who had rhinoplasty and have no problems? Even the person who gives skincare care even laughed saying they also have Gore-Tex in their nose, and that is so shocking. There have been so many people who did rhinoplasty, after all. Doctors say the reason silicone is still used is that the risk of side effects is low and it is a safe material, but is it really because only people with problems come here that it feels this common? Could it be that doctors actually know but choose not to admit it? I had issues with Gore-Tex, so I had a revision with silicone + autologous costal cartilage. I followed that because I believed autologous costal cartilage is safe. I wanted the bridge to be no implant, but I didn’t know much, and the doctor I wanted said I should do silicone on the dorsum. There are also many people around me who had silicone and are doing well, and I guess I chose it reluctantly because I liked the surgeon’s aesthetic sense too. But I was supposed to lower the silicone, and then it was done with a higher one. The betrayal is not a joke... if I argue about this, will they correct it? I feel more and more factors that could become problems are piling up… But honestly, autologous costal cartilage is more shocking to me. My appearance is prettier now, but this hard nose is so hard to bear. It feels strange, like sometimes when I smile it feels like my nose flips backward. So I keep checking this place and others every day, and it just feels like silicone may cause problems too and autologous costal cartilage is not completely safe either.. sigh. Now I know even hospital reviews are posted by hospitals, so you can tell how many I’ve seen. I’m now also thinking about IVF, and I’m too anxious because they say inflammation can occur if immunity drops. After 6 months, I’ll do correction or removal right away. VS If there are no problems, I’ll just live like this and remove it later when I get older. Which is better, do you think? Even while trying to stay busy so I don’t think about my nose, every night I come back here and end up sleeping like this, in pain. After seeing family and the “marlangco” look, today feels even more depressing

콩호두맘 If there are no problems, maybe keep it for a few more years and remove it when you’re older? Opening/re-opening it repeatedly isn’t going to help.
히녹 [@콩호두맘] Right. Opening again is scary too, but when I think about spending 10 million won on revision and the daily time and emotional losses, I get angry and feel hurt. I just want to fix it fast and clear this from my mind.

닌자어쌔신 I’ve been living with silicone for 13 years with no inflammation at all! In the first 2–3 years I did occasionally have redness at the nasal tip, but it disappeared on its own in a day or two. After that, except for not becoming pig-nose-shaped, I’m living normally without issues. No hypertrophic scar or adhesion-like hardness, no extrusion, and no problems even if I’m exercising and it gets hit or pressed.
청명 If it were me, I’d keep living with it for now, and if after a major life event passes you still want it removed, then remove it then.

행운코 An acquaintance I know is in their early 60s. They’ve had rhinoplasty for over 20 years, and I think they have L-shaped silicone. My own observation is only a visual check, but I think they don’t even know what was implanted. They’re currently fine, not uncomfortable, and have never had inflammation. Another relative in their late 30s had rhinoplasty over 10 years ago; because it wasn’t elevated excessively, many people can’t tell they had surgery, and it seems they also live well without inflammation, nasal blockage, narrowed nasal airway, or foreign-body sensation… It really seems, depending on surgery type and material, if the three factors match well, some people have no issues. For me, the tip is bulky and bulges out to the side with ear cartilage prominence, so there’s severe heavy foreign-body sensation… so it’s uncomfortable, with one side nostril narrowed, and even when blinking, silicone keeps knocking against my dorsum, so I have to be careful… careful. Removal is the answer. I’ve decided to remove. The people around me all oppose me, saying, “What if it gets worse?” — that line itself is really stressful... Even though it feels so wrong to me, I worry about inflammation after removal… can’t bear it, yet people keep saying, “Why remove it?” Is it better to not pay attention to lightweight advice from people without medical knowledge… or should I listen?
제발성 There are many people without problems. But the common trait of people around me who have had no issues for a long time is that they only had minimal manipulation done, and it looks very natural!! They didn’t even harvest ear cartilage!! How are the people around you?? Do they look natural and only had minimal manipulation??
