<Photo when the scar area looked bad at week 3><Scar after implant removal> At one month after breast surgery, I had a 40°C fever and severe pain that made me unable to move my upper body; even breathing was so painful that I was frantic and went to the hospital as soon as I could in the morning. The surgeon said to remove the implant and do revision surgery after 6 months, and I am now worrying about it. Before that, in weeks 2–3 the wound area was so bad, so I went for a progress check at week 3. Ultrasound showed no issue, and although pus kept discharging, the surgeon said it was likely caused by excessive pressure from the corrective compression garment, so they only gave antibiotics and disinfected it. This happened a week later, so I do not know whether to believe that... The surgeon also said it seems the inflammation came up from the lower part of the wound; the area above the implant is clean and only the lower part is inflamed. I was hospitalized for two days. Vital signs dropped too much, fever persisted, and blood tests were done. Even if I get a refund, if I go to another hospital for revision I’ll have to pay double the cost. This hospital says it will take responsibility and do the revision treatment fully, but what should I do? When I think about my scar, the time, and all this suffering, I feel like filing a compensation claim.
닝스승 [@] I was admitted for two days after surgery and got blood tests; my vital signs were so poor, so they kept checking them constantly Should I have revision surgery? Or should I pay twice and redo at another hospital? I’m still considering it; the cost is not cheap either.
닝스승 [@] Since it would be revision at another hospital, I’ve heard they usually think it costs about twice as much as the first surgery.
킹크랩다리 Oh no... You’ve really suffered a lot.
닝스승 [@리나리나리] Even if I receive a refund, I’ll have to pay extra costs again when I get revision surgery, and that feels burdensome.
닝스승 [@황밸을찾아서] It’s a hospital that is mentioned a lot for breast-related surgeries.
닝스승 [@Perilous] Because of the refund, I’m still thinking about whether to do revision surgery at next week’s follow-up.
뱅뱅돌음 Oh... May I know where you had the surgery? You must be really hurt.
닝스승 [@뱅뱅돌음] I’ll send you a note.
레이버 I’m also curious about the hospital information, too...!
